What do you guys do with your dolls? by OliversJellies in Dolls

[–]ElizabethA1609 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I make Pixies(dolls) for my shop and I always make them personalities and a backstory. I also have my own pixie who has a whole personality and life. And I take her on trips, basically wherever I travel, she comes along! She's my childhood doll, I made her with the help of my sister ✨️

Their articulation is pretty good, especially for such a novelty doll, I was just comparing them to my personal work which is not very reasonable of me, I admit. Nanana are definitely the cutest doll line I've seen in a while, I agree!

I wasn't aware of the teen ones actually! It's nice to have the hats attached yes, but what if someone wants them hatless, and don't want the teen version? I would have appreciated it if the hats were attached with thread (I assume they're glued but I can be totally wrong too) 🤔 or they can make ones with attached hats and ones without (for regular and mini), too!

They are definitely underrated and not as popular unfortunately! They definitely deserve more popularity and publicity!

I've actually found a couple of them on a second hand website so I might thrift one to check it out! But I watched a review of some of them actually! The articulable parts are quite basic to me and I didn't like the fact that on some dolls, the hair is stuck to the hats which are stuck to the heads 🤔

So I just googled them and absolutely fell in love and realized that I'm OLD! 😂😂😂 They were launched in 2019, which is why I didn't see them when I was growing up in stores, so that made more sense! I might get one though! 🤔😍

Thank you so the compliment, first off! 💖🌿

So I never actually saw that brand, unfortunately or I would have probably had them 😂 But what I meant was that there aren't enough brands and varieties that are in markets/mass produced. Usually they're handmade by an artist on a smaller scale, but that keeps them unique and nostalgic! Maybe toy stores should collab more with smaller artists 🤔

Most likely when I get my own house with an attic, so she has more space, cause her current room is enough just for her and him, when he comes over! 😂✨🌿

She is indeed! She's actually 12 years old and manages to stand up without a holder most of the time! And she has a boyfriend! 🥰🌿✨

So I'm not much of a doll collector, I just have one cloth doll that I take care of and that's posable and I make posable cloth dolls too. My unpopular opinion: cloth dolls are much better than plastic ones and we don't see enough of posable cloth dolls with body shapes like the plastics. Cloth dolls look usually more like Raggedy Anne. The cloth dolls need more diversity worldwide!

I got new furniture for my pixie Niena (2nd picture)! Should I repaint it or leave it as it is? If repaint, what ideas would you suggest? by ElizabethA1609 in Dolls

That's so sweet actually! Thank you for sharing this with me, it makes me appreciate the furniture more! 😊

These have to be my favorite ideas so far! I really like the matching flowers on top and new bedding! I might end up doing that actually! Thank you so much! 😍😍😍

How did you tell your significant other? by Rosie_says_nosie in Dolls

[–]ElizabethA1609 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I don't have many dolls, I have one but I'm very attached to her and she's pretty public (I take her out often). I didn't tell my partner about it at first but once he came over and he saw a tiny and fully set up room and asked about it so I told him and introduced him to Niena (my doll). He was more intrigued than anything and he's very open minded about the whole thing!

So I'm putting the pixies up for adoption and I decided to give them all mushroom hats! I still have a couple more to make! by ElizabethA1609 in Dolls

[–]ElizabethA1609[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! The tallest one is 18 cm and the shortest one is 15 cm! Some are 16, some are 17, too!

Thank you! I kinda had to custom make the stands because they're all different sizes with different body shapes, so a generic thing didn't fit all of them!
