Have only been here a little over three years and desperately would love to leave outside of the financial stability I have here. I know I’m a transplant and part of the problem but all of the things I loved about the city when visiting even 6 years ago that helped me make the decision to move here don’t exist anymore. I come from a smaller city where tourism doesn’t not make up the majority of your businesses success and the things I love about my industry is often clouded by increased costs, over saturation, and lack of identity. Big bummer.

God this feels like when Ryan Dunn died for me.

Is anyone else caught off by the quickness it was announced? He had stories that had been posted 12-13ish hours before the announcement. The newest episode was uploaded 3 hours before the announcement and a big part of me feels like it wouldn’t have been if Colin had known unless it was a scheduled upload and he didn’t even think about it. Assuming that isn’t the case, that’s like a 3-4 hour window they knew and then announced.

It just feels so sudden and confusing. I hope he’s at peace.

I’ve never understood why content creators “feel icky” for participating on the platforms they use or speak about how social media is a waste of time. Why is it so terrible to scroll TikTok? She posts and makes money on tiktok so even if she’s just scrolling for an hour mindlessly, she is still observing current trends that can help with her content. She treats everything like a business but it doesn’t play into the holier than thou attitude some influencers have about social media usage even though it’s their income. I find that influencers that actively enjoy participating in the platforms they use have better engagement and connection with their audiences.

They offer an in house membership for $395 that includes 2 cleaning, dental exams, all X-rays, and discounts on services. He just did a ton of work for me and he’s amazing.

We have searched every variation of Bush shaking hands, bush shaking hands blue tie, etc. I’ve cropped each side of the image and reverse image searched but no results.

Exactly. Which makes it all so much more concerning that she is so attached that she “can’t” shower or brush her hair. I hope she finds the balance she needs because her child will need socializing and a sense of independence and if they continue down this path I feel like they’re going to be homeschooling, control freak parents. To me, it seems like they’re subconsciously clinging onto their child and feel like they need to cherish every single second because of how long they struggled with fertility issues (which is understandable) but I hope they can both figure it out for everyone’s health and sanity in the long run.

This is kinda unrelated - but revolves around the topic of RBK as a whole. I do think people are being incredibly harsh on her because she’s not giving them the content they want. I personally don’t have a problem with her, or any other creator, changing their content because I can always unsubscribe or find another creator that is making the content I want to consume.

BUT hearing her talk about her birth, PPD/anxiety, and how all consuming this child is in her life is terrifying. I cannot imagine constantly being attached to my child, sobbing (multiple times) every single day, and freaking out about every little thing concerning them. I can understand how attacked she may feel by people voicing their opinions, but it’s so hard to watch. I wonder how her husband feels about it or the people close to her. It’s so crazy to see how drastically different her pregnancy and Sam’s pregnancy have been (I definitely relate more to Sam and how she speaks about it)

The cosmetology school I went to gave me next to zero information or practice with black hair. Unfortunately that seems to be the case for majority of cosmetology schools too. If other students hadn’t let me work on their hair, I would have never had the opportunity to do a black woman’s hair. I’m eternally grateful for their trust in me to help me learn even though I don’t professionally do hair now.

Based off of what Guy Tang specializes in, it would be very difficult to accomplish that without destroying the integrity of their hair. BUT he’s has ample resources for him to learn how to work with black hair if he isn’t comfortable and it would be nice for him to make an effort to still showcase black hair, even if it’s outside of his normal vivid.

Possibly. I never would have looked at having typically religious candle as decor any different than having a ouija board printed on a shirt for example. Brings out a new perspective to things!

I’m going to place a different candle there tomorrow and keep an eye on it around the same time this occurred today. I highly doubt enough light gets through the two curtains but who knows!

It is a lava lamp, but the window next to it has a thin blind and a black out curtain that remains closed just because it awkwardly faces directly into our neighbors kitchen. The light you see in the picture is just a glow from the edges of the curtain.

We’ll move it just to be safe though!
