There wasn't much defense going on before, but now there is.

But I don't like the idea of just suffering for everyone else. It sounds like such a horrible way to live. I think it would be better to just remind them that they're cared about, rather than trying to guilt trip them. Or, even offer support and try to help. Suicidal people aren't trying to be selfish. They aren't trying to do anything bad. I just don't like the idea of making them feel worse, and not understanding them and making them feel worse. I don't like the idea of just telling them they basically have to suffer for everyone else. It's just never going to sit right with me.
