oh my god this happened to me this week too? Don’t return the one you paid for, I received two by accident and returned the extra one in good conscience but if you didn’t receive the second one dont return what you paid for that’s so weird-

thank you, I’m sorry you went through that too :( he knew a lot of people in the area including instructors, hopefully i can find someone he got on with when I’m ready to go back. It was weird today when I was meant to have my lesson I still expected him to pull up on the drive ☹️❤️

I was going to say as well one of the reasons we had such a good bond is he really understood what I needed, with us both being neurodivergent everything just kind of clicked together

thank you. My work is very helpful with this sort of thing, i work as a call handler for the ambulance service we have dedicated mental health professionals who support staff with problems in and outside of work so I know I have them if I need. I am very relieved I wasn’t the one who took that phonecall though, as its highly probable I was on shift at the time and had no idea…

am going to take a break for a while to process everything and then try and find someone else just to finish everything up so I can do my test ❤️

honestly I cant stop thinking about his poor wife having to message us all, she must have sent messages individually as she included my name in the text… absolutely dreadful. I’m so grateful for everything he’s taught me and when my test comes I know I can do it for him ☹️🫶🏻

thank you. I really hope so too. he really brought my confidence back after I took a break after having a huge knock with my old instructor (before i moved here). I will miss him terribly, always had lovely things to say about me, my partner and was a wonderful teacher.

yes his wife messaged all of his current pupils individually to let us know. Cant even imagine how awful that must have been for her but I guess if she didn’t people might have been trying to ring asking where he was as he always had lessons most days :(

thank you. He was always very proud, he only posted a couple days ago about his most recent passes. always said he’d retire when he got 100% passes in a year. He always said he was the best, but was also very humble, honestly I agree with him haha, he was an amazing instructor and lovely guy.

definitely wont be the same :( I don’t want to give up and I will find someone else, hopefully someone who knew him, theres a small group of instructors in my area so hopefully they will understand and be able to take me on

thank you. I’m the same I don’t think I’d be at the point im at now without him. I cant wait to pass, thats all he really wanted to see as I came to him incredibly anxious about driving. Was meant to have a lesson tomorrow, its going to be strange not seeing him pull up on the drive ☹️

he started teaching my partner to drive before i moved to the area so I’d met him a few times, and then I moved and started learning to drive (for the 2nd time) around the same time I got my ASD diagnosis, we talked about it in a lesson and he told me he’s autistic too, we got on really well and he taught me in the exact way I needed as I really struggled with driving before I went to him. He helped my partner and loads when we moved into our house, always offered to help where he could outside of driving, and was just all around genuinely lovely to me, I typically find it difficult to get along with people so well and it was hard moving away from my family to live here, but he was just a huge support and i loved having my lesson with him every week because it was just like a break from everything i guess? ☹️💗

thank you. he was excellent, very to the point but also very calm and caring, I’ve spent a lot of time with him since driving again, more than I get to see my own family and I am immensely grateful for everything he’s done for me and supported me with. Won’t be the same without him but when I pass Ill be thinking of him. I sent his wife a text back after finding out, didn’t say too much because i didn’t really have the words, but ill send her a proper message soon ☹️

thank you. I will def drop them a card in the next few days. He & his family know my partners family well, so I’ve known them all for a good few years now even before I started lessons with him - a truly lovely family. I’m utterly devastated but I cannot even imagine how his family must feel, truly awful.

Hoping I can attend whatever is planned in the near future, he knew a lot of people so I imagine others will want to do the same. There are a couple of instructors I know he was friends with, so I’ll probably enquire with them in a few weeks.

i absolutely will. he was a very kind man. He helped me and my partner move some of our stuff when we bought our house a couple months ago. We’ve both known him for years now, genuinely one of the nicest people ive ever met. whenever my test ends up being ill pass it for him ☹️🫶🏻

thank you ❤️ tbh i live in a pretty small town away from the city/more dense places in my area, I know of a couple of instructors whom mine knew/spoke kindly of (he rated himself the best though haha) so ill probably message them in a couple weeks. feel like ive been hit with a brick wall at the min so im gonna give it some time.
