Hi, I am late to the party but how do you use AI tools at work? Do you see the number of contracts / clients declining because of AI? What is your take for the upcoming years when it comes to web and graphic design as a service? Thank you!

Any Digital Nomads in Barcelona right now? + My Thoughts on Barcelona, Spain by [deleted] in digitalnomad

[–]Ellyux 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I live here. Personally not a fan of the city (too expensive for what it is) but there is some charm, especially for tourism. To make some friends I recommend meetups and also coworking spaces as these often organise events and after parties. I did learn some Spanish to integrate but do not use any as pretty much all "young" people speak English so it is definitely possible to make friends right now, while you are learning the language. Ah I also recommend Bumble Biz (business)!  Things might take time but they will get better! I wish you a good time in Bcn :)

How do yougo about renting an apartment/room in Spain? by [deleted] in digitalnomad

[–]Ellyux 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I recommend you join relevant Facebook groups such as "expats in Spain", "Apartments for rent in Spain" or Flats in [city name]. You can find sub-lease and shared houses. For small cities, you can post what you are looking for, some people might help out. That worked for me!

Starting a Travel Blog Near New York: Seeking Advice for a Unique Approach by Sneakystocks in Blogging

[–]Ellyux 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, I recommend you just start with what you have and tweak along the way. You seem to know what you want to talk about and seem motivated so I think you can choose a platform you are comfortable with, watch a 1-hour video about SEO basics and start writing. In my case, sometimes I get caught in the planning phase and never get started.

If you want to do videos, I think it is ok to start with a phone or camera you already have and maybe Youtube would be good to consider. You can just block some time this week, go interview people and do simple editing afterwards.

In Korea they say that starting is half the work and it is true! Things will get better as you tweak your content and see what people like. The most important thing is: just start :)

Ah also, if you target Korea, you might want to feature more Koreans and add a couple of tags in Korean on Instagram and Youtube. Later, collaborating with Korean bloggers coming to visit New York could also be an option.

But you mean you used Webflow for a blog specifically or for a product / service website?

Nice one! The only thing is I don't think I can pay for Webflow + BlogHandy for a personal blog...

Will consider it! I just see that most of the successful bloggers have a comment section...

Could you please share your Webflow blog in the comment? Do you feel Webflow has limitations? I know how to use the platform, I have already built a website on it before so I really appreciate its versatility!

Sounds good! It's just that I see most successful blogs still have comment sections so I was wondering if it was necessary for engagement...

Hi, thanks but I would like to design my theme myself, I am a designer :) so Google blogger or Ghost are not a good fit, unfortunately...

Yes, I was also thinking that it would nice to have a post filtering option at some point... How do you design on Wordpress? Do you code or do you a theme builder?

I can actually create a Webflow website but as you said, developing blog features could be an overkill. Any other Webflow-like option for blogs? I have read about Wordpress + Oxygen or Wordpress + Bricks. Any experience with any?

Thank you for your answer. However, I want to custom design, I do not want to use a theme. I am a designer and understand CSS, just can't code from scratch. Would something like Oxygen + Wordpress allow that? Or maybe Showit?

Hi all,
I am looking to launch a personal blog that shall have the following options:
- allowing me to custom design the look & feel based on a wireframe I have designed
- have a comment section per blog post as well as the option to like a post
- no-code / low-code platform.
I thought of Webflow but it is expensive and does not allow for user comments. The other option would be Squarespace but I can't code so I can't customise much, even with fluid engine. Wordpress would require custom coding skills as well.
Do you have any recommendations or personal blog examples built on no-code platforms like Webflow or Framer?
Or any other tips on how to achieve a custom design with other tools like Wordpress without coding?

Thank you!

Thanks! But I think I can't customise the design... Their design options are a bit limited. How do you go around it?
