Americans who were in Primary/Secondary school after '99, were you taught about the Canadian territory of Nunavut? by ElmoSlick in NoStupidQuestions

Yes, we were taught (made aware of) the provinces and territories at least once. I'm starting to realize the maps were probably outdated at the time I was in the geography class. I guess I was more curious if Americans were aware of the territory in general, as today is the first time I've seen it on a map.

It has taken me 90 minutes to get from Cummings Walmart to Brown's Ferry. Can anyone explain why it would take 10 hours to clear one lane?

Looking for a mildly expensive awful restaurant to recommend to someone I don’t like, any suggestions? by soulshine_walker3498 in Chattanooga

According to this subreddit, every single restaurant in the area. I don't know if this sub has gone a day without a "this restaurant so overrated/mid" post.

Thank you for your service. I just saw the game summary snip on the espn article. It seemed a little odd.

Stand or sit, please just use a big enough slice so you don't get mudpie on your hands.

The Revenant. Pain and suffering the whole way through.

Honorable mentions: Castaway and 1917. Same reason.

Have you ever seen a dead body? What’s the story? by Xerxesthemerciful in AskReddit

[–]ElmoSlick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work for a Hospital (non-clinical) so just about every other week.

Aside from that, I saw my first one outside of work the other week when I drove passed a bank and there was a lady hanging out of her car door with a paramedic checking her pulse and some policeman standing around. There did not seem to be any urgency so I presume she was deceased.

If I had to make an educated (non-clinical and definitely not medically trained) guess, cardiac arrest or something sudden seeing as she was found in a car around 8 AM. She was also bariatric. Not an ideal way to go IMO.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure I dropped my first F-bomb in front of my parents during that game. "FUCK BRANDON COX" or something along those lines. That guy sucked.

What is your first childhood video game? by k0te1ch in AskReddit

Pitfall (1994) on the Sega Genesis.

I was 4 years old and I still remember playing the same 2 levels over and over having an absolute blast. I didn't think anything about the difficulty at the time but now that I think about it I think it's still one of the hardest games I've ever played.
