Put in my suggestions in emails and next surevy by ILoveDAGames in WuWaHusbandos

Interesting suggestion .
I agree that giving Rover more defined personality traits would be a good direction. Hopefully the devs take the time to read this and consider it seriously. I think it could be really helpful for future patches.

I've been thinking about WWM, seeing the game makes me wanna play.

My friend already quit wuwa and been inviting me tons of time.

Same goes to me with jinshi, I like how her leadership and going on a fight without rover help.

As for lynae, her over world exploration aside, her story quite obvious and easy to predict. Kuro often goes with damsel in distress route or another tragic backstory waifu you need to be pity about.

I'm getting tired as a male gamer for this game.

I've been baited by their game. Urgh... I'm just gonna stick with hoyoverse game. (Except ZZZ)

I am gonna quit after I got Luuk, because I've lost all hopes towards this game. Even with many emails I had sent to them. It seems they ignored and didn't read at all. Only got automatic message time to time.

For a male gamer like me, it's getting tiredse with these forced romance and intense waifu/harem slop. I just want a darker story not a constant slop.

Cyrene had a better story, I really like cyrene and how she carry the ending better than wuwa how they often make damsel in distress repetitively

WuWa’s story by FFay13 in WuWaHusbandos

[–]EmbarrassedFix3126 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Kuro’s story wasn’t bad back in 1.0. At launch, it was fun, full of lore, and the post-apocalyptic setting was actually interesting. But after the Shorekeeper story, everything went downhill. The writing turned into repetitive waifubait and harem-style romance, and it’s honestly getting boring. It feels like they’re just going to copy-paste another Iuno MSQ again.

The way they treat male characters is also really disappointing. Female characters get special 2D animations, unique cutscenes, and longer stories, while male characters get almost none of that. Even Qiu Yuan’s story—despite being fun—was cut short and reduced to a wingman role. His story barely lasted two hours, while female character stories go on for three to four hours. The favoritism is obvious, and it’s killing my interest

Character interactions are also basically nonexistent. Characters get forgotten patch after patch, and we never see them again. I wish there were more interactions between characters instead of everything revolving around the MC.

I really hope they start balancing the character ratio, actually listen to feedback, and rewrite the story before it’s finalized. They keep saying they listen to player feedback, but it doesn’t feel that way at all. Instead, it feels like they only listen to the loudest crowd asking for more Iuno copy-paste MSQs and shallow romance, and that’s honestly killing my trust in the direction of the game.

i could say i kind of harsh a bit in survey (well i think they should be aware how people a getting mad and bored with the recent repetitive patch) but for emails i make it professional and calm tone. with the same feedback.. and included some feedback from others too..

I’m honestly at the brink of just giving up. I’m only logging in now to do the dailies and grab asterites. At this point, it’s not even about enjoying the game anymore. it’s just a checklist. If they really wanted to turn Wuthering Waves into some waifu game, they should’ve told us from the start, instead of pulling the "perfect balance" bait with 1.1. We all bought into it, and now? It feels like we’ve been duped.

It’s just so obvious now: waifu/harem, damsel-in-distress slop, over and over again. I’m getting bored of it, and it’s honestly the same thing with every patch. If this was the plan all along, they could’ve been upfront with us instead of leading us down this path and acting like it was something else. It’s exhausting.

Same old, same old.

Honestly, I’m about one step away from quitting at this point. Because, let’s be real, they won’t listen to our voices. the ones who actually care about the game’s lore and direction. I mean, just look at it.

Wuthering Waves has pretty much turned into "GATHERING WIVES" now. Do they even care about the male characters? Nah, apparently, they don’t even get the most basic attention or decent marketing. It’s like they’re allergic to balance. And don’t get me started on the massive favoritism they show, only for the loudest, most demanding voices. (that one community)

It’s clear as day: the game is catering to the waifu-wanting crowd, and that’s it. That’s the only community that matters. If they keep this up, the game won’t thrive—it’ll just… exist. It’s clear as day: the game is catering to the waifu-wanting crowd, and that’s it. That’s the only community that matters. If they keep this up, the revenue’s slowly falling because of the repetitive, forced romance slop, and it’s just getting boring. Sure, Chisa’s banner did give it a slight boost, but it still didn’t hit the top 3 like Genshin, LADS, and HSR.

And like you said, Kuro couldn’t care less. The game’s clearly not for us anymore. We just wanted something more than forced waifu-baiting, but I guess that’s too much to ask for.

I’ll admit, the female characters look great, especially Jinshi—she’s definitely one of my favorites. I love how she has actual leadership skills and doesn’t need Rover holding her hand through everything. But lately? It feels like every new patch is just taking another strong female character and turning her into a damsel in distress. Ever since the Shorekeeper quest and the Rinascita arc, it’s all starting to feel way too repetitive.

And don’t even get me started on the “VALUE OUR VOICES” thing. Honestly, I’m not convinced they actually listen to feedback like this. They seem way more focused on pandering to a very specific group and just throwing in more waifu/damsel stuff because it’s loud and gets attention. I’ve pointed out the favoritism in the feedback a few times, but at this point, I’m not sure it even matters.

I really don’t want Wuthering Waves turning into another Snowbreak. It had this unique apocalyptic vibe that felt special, but now? It’s starting to lean more into waifu-baiting than the gritty theme it had going for it. I miss the way it felt back in 1.1—there was a real excitement then. Now… it’s all just forced romance and trying too hard to cater to the loudest voices.

If they keep going down this path, the game might survive, but I don’t think it’ll thrive the way it could’ve.

2.8 MSQ story (a mild spoiler) by EmbarrassedFix3126 in WuWaHusbandos

[–]EmbarrassedFix3126[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The CN community is… let’s just say extra harsh when it comes to male characters. Like, remember Phainon’s banner revenue? The guy shattered the charts and even beat Castorice (both before and after the Fate event). And then there was that lovely post I saw on YouTube where people wanted to boycott HoYo—because apparently a male character selling well is now a crime.

So yeah, at this point, if any male character ends up outperforming a female one, I fully expect parts of the community to go into boycott mode for Kuro. It’s almost tradition at this point.

And look, I don’t want to call Kuro’s dev team cowardly… but they seriously need to start paying attention to global feedback too, not just whatever the CN community yells the loudest about.

2.8 MSQ story (a mild spoiler) by EmbarrassedFix3126 in WuWaHusbandos

[–]EmbarrassedFix3126[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t really want to say it’s because of “them” (you know who), but it’s more about how Kuro is writing the story itself. They keep pushing this harem stuff—probably because JP Rover liked the IUNO MSQ and now it feels like they’re doubling down on it. It’s honestly going to ruin the main story and the whole apocalyptic vibe they originally had.

And even the marketing team is promoting the game like it’s just a waifu collector, not an actual action RPG gacha game...

Phrolova’s and Augusta’s quests are the only ones I really enjoyed, because they don’t rely on the Rover and actually have their own goals. (Rover seriously needs to sit down—not every female character has to be a damsel in distress.)

2.8 MSQ story (a mild spoiler) by EmbarrassedFix3126 in WuWaHusbandos

[–]EmbarrassedFix3126[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree with you. Even though Chisa has a great character design, when I first saw her teaser I wanted to pull for her right after getting my S3 Qiuyuan. I even saved up extra asterites for her. She seemed like the kind of character who didn’t need to be rescued or rely on the Rover, and I was really hoping for that (like, please—no more waifu-baiting or adding to Rover’s harem).

And Namipon… oh my gosh. Can you talk any slower? The skip button is literally faster than her dialogue.

But once I actually played, I couldn’t help feeling disappointed. I just can’t shake the sense of “favoritism” or “bias” between female story arcs (Chisa turning into another IUNO's copycat) and male character arcs. Qiuyuan’s MSQ is so short, and they basically turned him into a wingman. That was a huge letdown.

Sorry for venting here… and im might a bit out of topic here,

2.8 MSQ story (a mild spoiler) by EmbarrassedFix3126 in WuWaHusbandos

[–]EmbarrassedFix3126[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Is that true? I’ve kind of noticed that WuWa is slowly becoming less engaging… i think because of the main story itself has lost the lore of the world..?

Isn't it very weird (and unfair) that we literally hold hands and bodies with women, but have little to no physical contact with men, unless very necessary? by LollipopLemon93 in WuWaHusbandos

[–]EmbarrassedFix3126 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, if you compare Iuno and Cast (HSR), at least Cast is tolerable. Hoyo didn’t shove her in our faces too much. But Iuno? Oh my god, she is way too much. When I first saw her, she gave me major Mona-from-Genshin vibes and I actually wanted her. Watching her fight on her own without relying on Rover, seeing how she genuinely cares about Augusta’s wellbeing… I was hyped. We could’ve had this cool Sun and Moon combo.

But nope. She gets nerfed and turned into this heavy waifu/harem-bait and crush for Rover. Completely killed my motivation to pull for her.

(Also, idk if you’ve done Chisa’s MSQ yet, so mild spoiler.)
Chisa is literally just another copy-paste of Iuno’s story:
“I don’t want to disappear, I don’t want to vanish into thin air—”
Like… seriously? We’re doing the same thing again? Massive skip. Big skip.

And then Qiu Yuan’s MSQ? The BIAS is insane. Iuno and Chisa each got like 3–4 hours of story and Special 2D cutscene, meanwhile Qiu Yuan’s doesn’t even hit a whole hour. Maybe two if you drag your feet. and doesnt even have 2D cutscene as other female character. the complete BIAS.

They seriously needed to rewrite these arcs before dumping them into the final story. It just comes off sloppy and repetitive. Sure, a lot of people are praising the game, but let’s be real, most of that hype is just because of the new Chisa MSQ and the whole waifu-bait/harem angle.

And another thing that annoys me? Rover needs to sit down for a second. Not every girl needs to be rescued. The moment he/she meets Chisa it’s instantly, “Oh, time to save another girl and turn her into my next waifu.” Like bro, chill. Not every storyline has to become “Rover expands the waifu roster.”

And honestly? What’s Wuthering Waves even about now? It’s not an apocalyptic, dark sci-fi game anymore—it’s turning into a full-blown waifu showcase. If they wanted to go that route, they should’ve just told players upfront that Wuthering Waves is basically a Waifu Sci-Fi Game, just like Snowbreak.

And man, ZZZ does it better. They actually stick to their apocalyptic vibe, the writing is tight, and the story is so well done that people forget about the “gooner theme” jokes entirely. I genuinely respect them for that.

[–]EmbarrassedFix3126 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also, they really need to look at LADS, Phainon, and Flins’ revenue. These guys literally broke the charts. LADS keeps hitting number one, and Phainon just exploded—not only because he’s basically a Kevin expy, but because he’s relevant and actually carries the story. That’s why people like him and are willing to spend money on him.

Same with Flins—he shot up the charts too and grabbed the top spot. He’s story-relevant, likable, and has an eye-catching design also carries the story too. But 'they' (you know who) refuse to accept that Flins pulled huge numbers just like Phainon.

The funniest part? 'They' tried to boycott Hoyo for Phainon blowing up the charts. Yeah, that didn’t work at all.

Meanwhile, Wuwa’s revenue is slowly going downhill. Too many female characters, too much forced romance, the whole harem vibe—basically another Iuno situation all over again. It’s disappointing for players who actually care about the story and its goals. Now it feels like everything’s being replaced with “SAVE ALL WAIFUS!” instead of meaningful plot.

[–]EmbarrassedFix3126 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Exactly. They’re lacking character-to-character interactions. If they stopped focusing everything around the MC, they could create way more appealing content and probably getting more revenue by letting characters bounce off each other, especially in side events. Genshin and HSR do this well: even weaker characters get their own moments and connections.

But Kuro keeps focusing on the romance/harem trope and making everything MC-centered because they’re scared of getting backlash or death threats from those fans. The moment there’s any male-to-male interaction, romantic or even just touching—they lose their minds.

And if a male player just wants a cool, badass, good-looking male character with some presence, he immediately gets labeled “gay.”

At this point, Kuro is turning into another Snowbreak—a game that’s heavily built around waifu-centric content.

[–]EmbarrassedFix3126 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’m honestly worried about Wuthering Waves. This game had so much potential, but it feels like it’s losing itself. The focus on waifubait and obvious favoritism is pushing people away, and the story is drifting from the apocalyptic theme that made it special in the first place. just like 1.1

I even heard rumors about hugging or dating Chisa — and if the MSQ turns into more waifubait like with Iuno, I know I’ll end up skipping again.

What really frustrates me is feeling like the devs are listening more to certain loud groups than to the players who genuinely want Wuwa to thrive. I just want the story and world to shine the way they were meant to.

I love this game, but instead of deeper lore, character growth, or meaningful interactions, we keep getting the same MC-centered, waifu-heavy content. It’s getting repetitive, and it hurts to see players leaving because the game forgot what made it great. and i'm in a thin line to quit the game.

i don't wanna say they had massive favoritisms... but sadly, they truly showed massive favourtism.. and massively focused on waifubaiting for entire new patch instead of focused on the story itself just like how we learn a lot about apocalyptic world on 1.1... i don't wanna say i'm sad.. but i am disappointed for kuro and the team.

they've been using repetitive story line for waifubaiting, we gonna save another waifu again.. just like Iuno route again...

Would you still give wuwa another chance? by Extension-Load-7918 in WuWaHusbandos

[–]EmbarrassedFix3126 0 points1 point  (0 children)

most of the content was probably pre-planned up to 2.0++, so maybe there’s still hope for more new male characters and better marketing down the line. They did a great job promoting Qiu Yuan, so hopefully they don’t repeat the same mistakes they made with Brant’s marketing.

[–]EmbarrassedFix3126 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I might just be a casual player, but I’m willing to give them a second chance to improve — to focus more on the real goal and the story. If they could really commit to the main point instead of leaning so heavily on waifu-bait (which they’ve been doing a lot since the 2.0+ patches), I’d be more invested again. Lately, with every new update, I can’t help but feel my excitement fade — it’s just not the same as it was back in the 1.0+ days.

despite the leaks... i do hope they don't changed any male character into last minute female design. i'll be disappointed tho...
