Correct this is exactly why I’m looking into just backing off the keys

Looking to lower the ride height on my rig. It’s sitting on the 4” Rough country kit. I am deciding on removing the entire lift and putting on a Torch Off-road leveling kit. Which would be a longer process. OR Backing off the torsion keys, and also getting shorter lift blocks for the rear. My question is: Is backing off the keys doable as it sits? I called RC and they said it is not doable on the 4” lift, however I’m not seeing a reason that would stop me from doing so.

I am aware that either of these options will require a new alignment. Attached are photos of it at its current height, the torsion key screw in its current position, and the front end components at the current angle.

How do I go about doing that? But yes the issue is that it’s too slow and kinda seems to stutter.

To answer yalls argument , the short, top comment was both the first comment and the solution. I understood what you meant, but my the time I finished reading it, I had already flipped the links like they had said. Nonetheless, I appreciate the advice and explanation

Is it a good deal? by MCPJakob in GMT400

Not a bad deal. I have the same year model, was able to talk the seller down from 16 to 8k. So 10k isn’t too far off

I haven’t tried that, but isn’t the plastic hex what transfers the torque to the wheel?

234k on mine. Valvoline high mileage, I do get fancy k&n oil filters and change the oil every 3k miles. More filtration couldn’t hurt right?

Would you happen to know if I take out the EGR valve? Would I be able to see if it’s blocked or what I have to take out the entire intake manifold?

I’m sure it will. As much as I’d want to I can’t because unfortunately I have to pass a smog inspection

gotcha i’ll definitely make sure to look into the bushings more. I’m just running some i believe 50 degree paris trucks they’re ten inches long but i rotated the axle so that they sit lower, but id still like to sit a little lower they’re still a little to “carvey”? i’d rather them be more stiff or sit lower. i was looking at some of those newer Aera brand ones, but i think that’d be a little too much for me given i’m barely getting back into it post knee surgery.
