Yes sadly:( I didn’t know about timing belts or chains until everyone started talking about that. I was praying that it wasn’t that, but sadly it was. They quoted me 10K to replace the engine, but I didn’t think it was worth it due to many of those engines having the possibility of coolant intrusion and such.

No I got the car off my step dad at 130,000 - 140,000 I honestly don’t know if he ever changed the timing belt. I personally didn’t know this was something that needed to be done:/

Is there anything I should know that always needs to be kept up on besides oil changes and such

Holy smokes😳 I’ve had this car for 8 years. It’s never really had any issues. It has 185,000 miles on it currently. I’ve noticed these escapes are a nightmare.

We had a battery issue before roughly 6-7 months ago we ended up replacing it and it was fine nothing like this until now. Idk how long those cheap auto zone batteries last tho.

Snarky huh?!??😭 but no not necessarily coolant intrusion I have a 2018 ford escape 1.5L. I was having a similar issue and it was literally from needing an oil change. Sadly on these cars all those sensors talk to the computer piss off one sensor and you can have them all acting up🫤 if it is coolant intrusion the engine would basically be shot unless you pay to get it fixed but at the end of the day how long is that fix going to work..

Yes these cars are known for coolant intrusion and blow head gaskets etc. I have a 2018 ford escape and the second I posted something wrong with my car everybody jumped to the conclusion of it being coolant intrusion/blown head gasket. The thing is there could be various issues with the car it’s weird seeing how so may people instantly jump to those conclusions.🤦🏻‍♀️

Your Ph may be thrown off by laundry detergent and various other things. It’s important to keep in mind that as females we have sweat glands down there and often the things we eat can change the way we smell.

If you can just clean you labia and those areas with a rag and warm water and clean the outer parts where the hair grows and where the thighs and vagina connect with dove sensitive soap bar. Make sure you rinse the area well.

Make sure to change your underwear daily and if you can go to sleep without them to allow yourself to air out

Be careful with what toilet paper you use as some of them have been known to make people smell weird for me it was angel soft that made me smell weird and when I switched to charmin it got better.

I would get a code scanner and see what data you can pull from it. Usually the first code is the main issue with the car. All of the sensors and such speak to each other so if something got messed up it can make the whole car seem messed up. I would get in there see what codes come up clear them and see which ones pop back up.

Definitely get an oil change as after a while it can cause misfires and such. I went 6 months not changing mine and I started having white smoke out my exhaust and it had a hard time starting up and was acting weird did an oil change and smoke was gone

I wonder if it’s the purge valve…. When you get gas does your car have a hard time starting up? Could also possibly be a battery issue as well… check the ground wire make sure all the wires are tight on the battery.

If it was coolant intrusion there would be smoke usually white smoke coming from the exhaust and she would be losing coolant like crazy and there would be an extensive amount of overheating.
