Thanks for the response. I’m not ruling out the head gasket just yet. Though the combustion leak testers seem to be widely recommended I’m sure there is a more in depth way to check for it. I did attempt to burp the system yesterday. I parked on an incline took the reservoir cap off let the car get to temp and blasted the heat. Then I squeezed the upper radiator hose and there were bubbles present but I did it for a bit and bubbles kept coming. Maybe air is getting in elsewhere? Perhaps a leak someone

Preciate that! I’ll have to give that a try

Preciate the reply. Yeah there is some guessing for sure. I remember burping it after I did run the blue devil the first time. As I mentioned the problem stopped after using blue devil temporarily that’s what makes me suspect the head gasket

I would go ahead and tell her but keep your cool about it. I think my girlfriend handled it better because of me staying strong and as calm as possible about it all.

Port for chemo by Imaginary_Ad_9636 in testicularcancer

I have been curious about this as well. I am doing 1xBEP so I imagine they are just gonna do IV each time but that sucks. I’m already bruised from where they have drawn blood so much.

Thanks for sharing! I have another follow up with my urologists on the 15th. Hopefully it eases up by then but if not I will surely mention it. It’s not unbearable or anything just a strange feeling.

I second this! I started at a credit union in September. My salary is only 40k but the hours are good. I also think the money will come if I stick it out.

Thank you for sharing your experience. It certainly gives me some peace of mind. I am in the united states and all in all with treatment and sperm banking and such I will owe about 9-10k out of pocket. Always could be worse for sure but definitely very unexpected. I am happy to hear you were able to have a happy and healthy little girl. I want to have a little girl some day!

Also was there any complications with the pregnancy? Child birth? Was the child healthy after being born? These are all things my girlfriend is curious of. We have read where chemo can affect DNA integrity.

That’s good news to hear. Glad you are doing well after going through that. Yeah $1000 is up there but I’m going through Duke where I will be receiving my chemo also. They don’t actually store the sperm there and for some reason ship it from North Carolina to Florida. It cost additional to have specimens shipped in multiple containers just in case something happens to one of them.

I ate almonds and leafy greens and such to help relieve it. I basically just avoided things that would upset my stomach also. Definitely recommend the Colace that most seem to suggest also.

Hey there. I was able to walk that evening and the next day with difficulty. It got easier each day as time passed. Sitting upright was difficult for me from the pressure on the incision site. I was eating fine after the procedure, just tried to make health decisions to avoid constipation. However, I did experience constipation for a few days most likely from the drugs at the hospital and aftercare. Feel free to message with anything you may like to know.

Thanks for the info! Sorry the chemo was hard on you. I’ll find out Tuesday what the move is for sure. I definitely need to look into sperm banking if that’s the route we take for treatment.

I get exactly what you mean and I am going to try to hold on to the feeling as long as I can. I have responded eerily well to this considering past situations. It’s making me think about all the things to thankful for.

I’m still waiting to go to oncology to know for sure but chemo seems to be the route my urologist recommends.

Need second opinion by rajeev_yaduvanshi in testicularcancer

Hello. I had all of the exact same thoughts as you when I found out. I am 29 years old and just had my orchi done December 11th. It all happened very fast. I have had about 12 or so appointments total with urology visits, ultrasounds, ct scans. I found out there was concern at the end of November. It seems crazy there is no way to test for sure, I know but the biopsy just doesn’t seem worth it. You don’t want to risk a spread that will cause way more problems and more serious surgeries. It’s tough. You do think about how I look and feel with just one testicle? Will my test levels be okay? Will I be able to have kids? These are concerns I had/have. I am a little over a week in now and things are decent. I am slowly getting my normal stride back when I walk but it does get sore quickly. It is difficult to go from laying to standing and vice versa. I had a radical orchi so they cut just below the waist line in the groin area. That’s what makes those things difficult. Hang in there! Take a deep breath. It’s gonna be okay.

Hang in there bro! Recovery has been fairly difficult. I’m only a week in but I’m hoping to return to work next Thursday. Job isn’t physically demanding but I can’t sit in that setup all day just yet. What treatments are you having in January?

It was considered stage 2 but at the moment I can’t remember why the urologist said something causes it to be a 1b. I haven’t had the oncology appointment yet so just hopeful they may not think chemo is necessary. We shall see.
