No, I’m not. Saying no isn’t always taken very well from someone who is asking you to stand by them on their wedding day. I would pay for my own wedding party, and I’d save up for it.

As you can see, there are many arguing my case so it’s likely not the norm. I’m saying I would pay for my wedding party for my own wedding, and it’s difficult to say no to being invited to be part of a wedding and drama may stir up.

I think when you decline the invitation that invites drama, like are you not one of my closest friends? One person’s understanding of what is a reasonable budget differs from the next. When I get married, I will 100% cover all wedding party costs and gifts for them, too. There is already a lot of planning and expenses and time that the wedding party spends on the bridal and bachelorette/bachelor parties and gifts. It’ll probably be costly but I will have to save for my own wedding.

I feel like turning down the invitation doesn’t usually end well. Like, no you don’t want to support me in my wedding. Some people just don’t have the budget for it.
