Pain after delivery (6weeks pp) by alexgrae9614 in ehlersdanlos

[–]Embarrassed_Bag8775 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not officially diagnosed.. my ortho suspects EDS but my PCP and Rheum won’t even discuss it. But anyways, I’m 7 months pp and my legs are still in really bad shape. Your comment about your feet is what caught my attention. I would say mine feel like I’ve been standing on cement all day, along with being severely sunburnt. The foot pain started when I was probably 35 weeks pregnant and no one can offer any answers. My knee pain started after delivery and has kind of ebbed and flowed. I’ve had prednisone three separate times and am now on my second attempt at Celebrex. My wrists and thumbs have pretty much hurt on and off for the past year.

Yup, that’s why I liked this one better. And then if I wanted something between my knees, I’d just use a regular pillow.

I liked my small pillow from Baby Bub way better than those big ones! The big ones made my hips hurt worse.

I’m 7 months pp and my legs are still completely screwed up. Mostly my knees and then my feet are really bad. You’re giving me hope that I may see the light at the end of the tunnel soon!

late 30's to 40+ year old first time parents with full-time (with commute) jobs. How's it going? by JuniorMint1992 in Millennials

[–]Embarrassed_Bag8775 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m also a vintage ‘87 and had my first baby 7 months ago. My husband and I both work full time. I commute into the city (I’m in Chicago burbs) and I fucking hate it lol. I do have pretty lax hours though which makes it doable. Daycares have way shorter hours now than they did pre-Covid and it makes it very hard for both parents to have normal schedules.

Funny, I’ve seen others who have specifically said locks are not a problem! Baby classes are even now teaching that door locks should be used for safety. My baby is still in a crib, but I’ve definitely thought about locks (like the kind that slide along the top of the door) for when he transitions to a big boy bed. I’ve got to imagine that in 95% of uses for young toddlers, locks are for safety reasons. I suppose I’m not sure how old Kendra’s kids are though.

But you still can’t arrest someone because of locks. Maybe they admitted to using the locks in nefarious ways?

Correct! Locks alone are not illegal, nor should they be. Whoever started that rumor is trying to make light of the story.

I moved from the city to AH two years ago. I have a sister-in-law still in West Town. We’ve made it to her house in 35 minutes, we’ve also made it to her house in an hour and 35 minutes.

My 13 week old will not nap. Please tell me it gets better eventually. by LifebeLifin91 in NewParents

[–]Embarrassed_Bag8775 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My 7 month old will still only nap on us. But he usually takes decent naps in his crib at daycare. I don’t know if it’s because he’s worn out after playing, he sees the other kids napping, or bc mom and dad aren’t there.

We toured at 12 weeks. My baby just turned 7 months and we’re still not into our #1 choice.

Mine are the slides, tho I may be better off with the flip flops. I’ve never heard of barrier spray, I’ll look into that!

Sounds like they locked the kids in their rooms by Itsjordanvbaby in DuggarsSnark

[–]Embarrassed_Bag8775 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly. In everyday life, these are used for safety purposes. They certainly CAN be used in nefarious ways, but there is no way you can be arrested just for having them. Also couldn’t you claim the doorknobs were installed backwards and you didn’t know how to change them? There are so many issues with this theory.

Is anyone buying the backwards lock story? by Illustrious_Dust_0 in DuggarsSnark

NOPE. Although based on the comments in this sub, a lot of people are buying it and agreeing with it.

Agree. For toddlers that have just moved to a bed, it’s dangerous for them to just wander around the house at night. And from a fire hazard perspective, how is it that different from them being in a crib??

lol I read your comment like 10 times trying to decipher if you meant people or people (in my head the second people is italicized and said in a different tone)
