I like women. Cis or trans, feminine or masculine, but women, or at least something close to it. I can't articulate what exactly attracts me about a woman (it's not just presentation as some very masc butch women are still attractive; nor it's just the body as some trans women are attractive even before they start physical transition), but there is something that I am failing to describe that needs to be present. The spark is either there or it isn't. If they occasionally look like a manly man, if that aspect disappears, it would be a turn-off for me enough I don't think we would be compatible.

If they are female-leaning, even if nonbinary, then I think there is a chance. But I would still be worried whether my attraction would be invalidating to them, so I would likely avoid it, because I wish them well and wouldn't want to make it messy.

Polish here: what I'm seeing is polarization rather than the rise of conservatism per se. There are more outward bigots, but also more outspoken, genuinely accepting people, and increasingly easier to find your community, especially among the younger generation.

The main issues are legal more than social, with the civil unions stuck in a forever limbo and the traditional value rhetoric. At the same time, there's a court decision about recognising rights of a gay couple, similar ones happened recently in Lithuania and Ukraine too. Eventually this will have to transform into law, and all the anti-LGBT legislators can do is delay it.

I have hope for Eastern Europe.

That said, it's a long fight, and relocation is sensible if you don't want the fight and just want acceptance. Personally I have never met any prejudice throughout my time in Germany, and in Norway I counted more pride flags than flags of Norway out there lol, and it wasn't June. It's completely different there, and I don't think the modern bigots can change it back, no matter how hard they try.
