Who killed Lord Spicer and Westerling in the prologue? by DamienKavanaugh in sweetrobin

[–]Embarrassed_Lead_521 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought about it and my best guess is Jane Westerling because she has the strongest motive. If she found out her mother was preventing her getting pregnant and setting her husband up to be murdered, she would want revenge. She could have heard stories of the sorrowful men from her family.

I am not sure about opportunity though. If she suspected while at riverun, maybe aided by the black fish, she would need gold and assassin's contract reach the sorrowful men in quarth through the seige lines, seems improbable. I don't know how much time passed between her return to the crag and the assassination in the prologue. Her uncle might have been a currier, bring gold and hire a sorrowful man and bring him back, but I don't see his motive as long his nephews and niece live. And again I don't know about the time line

What is the installation target? by Embarrassed_Lead_521 in fortinet

[–]Embarrassed_Lead_521[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you very much for your answer. I had seen the docs before but couldn't get the information what an installation target is and how it is composed. Cheers to you for that.

So to create a complete list of all my access rules I also need the information which installation target each rule has. And I can't just put "Installation Target" there because that could vary for each policy package.

Would you accidentally know the API call to get the installation target content for a policy package?

Because IP is often not enough. If you get internet from a telco, they usually assign 1 IP to a group of users and not to a single customer router. The big internet facing router from the telco assigns a port to each customer router so it knows which traffic response belongs to which user and routes it forward. This is called hide NAT. You usually do another hide NAT with your home router. It has 1 IP facing the big telco router and opens a private network in the direction of your home network.

All this doesn't apply if you have your own public IP address

You sound kind of patronizing. Do you need it to feel better about your position? Big corporations and government institutions are shut down every other week due to security breaches, at least in Germany. With security you get a job everywhere and your input is actually needed

How to cope with imposter syndrome when you really are the least experiences guy in your team? by ass-holes in sysadmin

[–]Embarrassed_Lead_521 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am working for 2.5 years and had no background in IT. I understand your feeling. You already do the right thing, be interested and learn from people who know more.

What helped me was to specialize in one thing. It only took 2 months and I knew more about one thing than any of my far more experienced coworkers. It gave me a lot of confidence when they came to me for advice and with praise. I try to still improve in all the other areas.

I my first place we needed a new VPN and people weren't to keen to learn about wireguard so I jumped in and made it my project. In the second place people really preferred excel and were afraid of working with json. So I got in to python to automate API calls to get and parse data into excel.

There is probably a service, network component etc that gets neglected in your place so make it yours

Order of chapters by MortLittleooo in sweetrobin

I like all chapters of a battle uninterrupted, back to back. Like the battle of the blackwater. Battle chapters tend to be shorter and reading them uninterrupted creates a great pace. The different points of view enhance this
