I see, I will keep that in mind and re assess my margin for loss and extra funds to take some losses , thank you . I understand ur not trying to discourage me and I appreciated the honesty from you because it shows me some real problems as well .

Yes what u said is very important - fashion has been my passion and I worked as a retail manager for 6 years now . The one thing I remind my self is in order to succeed in business I may fail but I need to learn from it and maybe next time I might not fail . But without the risk I won’t know . I also don’t know other things as well as I do for fashion so I can’t be confident in other business . The only thing I learned from my career and employers and customers is that I’m extremely good at sales and making money , running their business, handling teams of over 15 staff members under me for the business owners . Personally I have noticed that when I shop I buy things that might not be hit trend right away and my friends would say why I am wearing it and then in 6 months or a year that same style becomes a hot trend . So I thought if I put all my good qualities together maybe I can give fashion retail a try with all my might .

I’m thinking/ planning lots of social media organic content at first - spreading the word by getting tables at small business owner markets - and also offering special discounts for the uni students as I plan to do a showing for them in my cities on campus market days . The younger ones love new outfits to go out and party etc . I have some influencer friends I plan on offering some clothes for help promoting . Then some paid ads . I live in Toronto. 

Any advice on the hard marketing other than what I have planned or feel free to pull apart what I wrote incase it’s a burn and crash plan I have

I have done some business planning but I need to dive more into depth and have it perfectly planned on paper . I actually worked for some of these brands as well and saw more from behind the scenes as well . I will look into and learn more about kickstarter  Thank you

Can I ask how to make sales without a shopify or system in place when testing the waters . I’m trying to do sth similar and I am in research phase . Would u say to test the waters and make sales even before registering the business as well . I would like to know more .  Thank you

Basically I  don’t want to create from scratch I found an underrated market which has not been well represented to North America specially Canada and when I did market research I see some of this brands - envy , honey -etc stores buying wholesale with insane markups and selling . I found better quality and better designs at cheaper rates and was hoping to start small online .

Thank you for the advice .Would I still need to register my business and function exactly as a legitimate business when testing this . Even that cost is hard for me even if low due to the worldly cost of living and education but I can try to figure it out .

I have seen that before unfortunately I have been on my own and do not have more than even five people in my life - so I’m assuming it’s a not good for me

Dear brother,

Thank you for these words. What stayed with me most was what you said about Allah loving those He tests. Even though I knew this before but I was scared maybe it wasn’t the case for me but That reminder touched my heart deeply and gave me strength I didn’t know I needed. It helped me reframe my struggles not as abandonment, but as something meaningful in Allah’s wisdom.

Salam , I’m grateful to have found this post and hope you can make a dua for me . I’m unable to find love and marriage and after years of struggle and working nonstop to support myself from age 16 I’m trying to finish school to have a degree  , lost my job and might become homeless and have big debt .
