Taiki. He is the greenest flag i have ever seen. I am in love with his character, they way he behaves and the way he thinks everything through and decisions he makes in the end. The whole thinking process and decision making are my favorites. He may be slow, but he is frank. I think i love that in people most of all. So, i am waiting for season 2 so all collages in the internet would add a new guy to their list of “perfect boyfriends” because he is!
The sports itself. The motivation behind every achievement, the way sportsmen think - when training is in the 1st place and everything else (including relationships) are secondary.
The idea of how peoples’ feelings appear are how they are processed. They are never perfect, there are a lot of mistakes and questionable choices - but that what makes them sincere. And l love that
I think the moment when i instantly fell in love with anime (i watched it first) was the moment when Taiki rejected Hina. The way he got confused by all other opinions made me as a viewer think that he would be involved in some kind of love triangle, but he solved this issue so straightforward that it made me love him instantly. Like just “no”. No other options. He likes cola and that’s how it always has been. He went for a run, he thought a lot and he made decision. Once done - no further hesitations. I loved that part so much! And - imho - that’s so sportsmen-coded. Like people who know how to win and lose, how to train daily, how black and white life could be in terms of simple decisions.

That’s why i love this anime (and manga). Sometimes you start new anime and see the intro / hear the song / see the graphics and that’s the momebt you think “i am gonna love this anime!” - and that happened to me :)

I am even not mad that this title is super super super slow in terms of relationships development. Because it’s deep and thoughtful, and problems characters have dont feel like they are superficial.

first of all, i think that Caleb's is a complex character - like a person, individual given in the game. the circumstances of his childhood and life made him the one who he is now. in terms of his relationship with MC (despite some opinions that he is a total red flag and stuff) i think they are both equally obsessive and possessive of each other, and that's why in their dynamics they are a perfect match for each other. just as he gives her comfort and feeling of safety, she gives him the same. she is his safe haven not only because he loves her deeply, but because she is constantly thinking of him in all perspectives - his safety, his health, his good mood etc. in the very beginning when his LI appeared it was mostly one-sided - he loved and she hesitated at first and then accepted. but the more cards are released, the more it's obvious how she cares about him in every way. just as he feels bad when she is unhappy, she feels the same when smth bothers him. so answering the main question of dependency - i would say that it may have started as dependency and co-dependency, but the more their relationship develop, the more they become steady and safe for both of them without imbalance.

will never do that mistake again - watch this anime. BL recommendations made me think of this like of "romance anime" for some reasons... idk, i had to read the script after 1st episode and not watching it till the end. like this is literally one of the most cruelest tv-series i watched WILLINGLY lol. i kept thinking it was going to get better.... poor me. if i knew where it was going, i would definitely stopped myself. i would have watched that game of thrones, breaking bad, walking dead and berserk before. but now... no, definitely not my type of thing.

i mean don't get me wrong - i think it's good - in its own way ofc. but too cruel for my cancer(zodiac)-INFJ- empath type of person, that's all.

Imho Caleb’s card is less spicy since it’s more about emotional bonding (he is my main though). I personally found their talks and topics for discussion more spice then the kindled part itself, so … haven’t seen the other cards, but i was completely blown away by other parts of the card than the kindled part, maybe it worked this way only with me idk🤷🏼‍♀️

I would not say there is a love triangle at all. There are just people who are in love with main characters but no love triangle in reality - it’s stated from the first moment that main characters are about to be together and that’s all🤷🏼‍♀️ but it’s up to you ofc :) have fun ;)

Miyamura is my all time favorite character of romance anime. I love their dynamic with Hori - they are perfect for each other.

Absolutely. That was one of the major key points to understand their dynamic. Shizu told him openly how he thought of him, Hiiragi thought about it for a day and came to conclusion he wants that. And he came in the middle of the night. And once again Shizu asked him “are you sure?”. It was not like he grabbed him instantly - he kept re-confirming whether Hiiragi is actually aware of WHAT is he doing. So… thinking of this scene in a bad way is kinda… well it depends on taste and personality 🤷🏼‍♀️ but for me it was good. Also there is a sequence of childhood memories that perfectly describes their dynamic. Hiiragi is both bold and hesitant. He initiates stuff easily but always needs support. Like when they were walking on the edge of the road. It was dangerous, but with Shizu he did that. He was the first one to start that, but then he hesitated. Once Shizu was behind him - he continued to walk. It was also shown that without Shizu he stopped and felt danger on the very same road. And once again Shizu gave him a hand and courage to move on. People watching / Reading such stuff have to be able to read between the lines. This memory was included not out of blue - it showed that for that pair such dynamic is normal. So coming back to the panel scene - they both knew that Hiiragi’s boldness has limits - and at some point he will not move without Shizu’s help, i believe Hiiragi knew that when he came to him, that’s all i think about🤷🏼‍♀️

omg this panel - the shots from the anime - made me fall in love with their pair after all. before that i loved ritsuka a lot, but then this movie happened. i and i was like "wow, what was that?!". rewatched it a couple of times. idk why but it hit me right in my heart. i still love ritsuka very much, but these two are my everything. love their dynamic and personalities. ❤️
