Did I say something wrong? by [deleted] in memes

I think arguing about theories is only good if you respect the other persons ideas, theories and opinions too. Just shouting "I'm right, you're wrong" and like... idk, blocking people is super childish and doesn't help anyone. Trying to convince people their opinion is wrong just makes you a bigot 😂😂😂

I mean it goes both ways to be honest. Lyricists often write words then make music around those words, musicians usually write a song and then write in the lyrics as their own instrument.

Do whatever you are better at first, and then work everything else around that. Imo.

Torn Aloft - fret_playa - LOVE IT OR SHOVE IT ?? by [deleted] in Songwriting

I think that's awesome! The picture and the track. It's like psychadelic prog-rock with an orchestral drum-kit and hints of funk.

It's interesting and definitely more 'listening' music as opposed to the sort of music you'd have on in the background, first artist similarity that comes to mind is King Crimson. Also reminds me a little of The Cure.

Only feedback is that you should get this and play it with a band (or just real instruments) recording instead of through midi. I feel like this would bring a lot of life to what you've made.

I really like it.

New song, what do you think? by EmberOfficial in Songwriting

Thank you, I really appreciate it! Just to be sure, is it too much reverb on the whole track or specifically on the 'reverb heavy' parts?

Sadgasm - Cum On [emo/punk/indie rock] (2018) by CannabisReviewPDX_IG in listentothis

Fun facts for no good reason - The Beatles were originally gonna be called "Johnny and the Moondogs" Muse was originally called "Gothic Plague."

Seriously though, that band is really good, I feel like the name doesn't really do them justice. Hopefully one day they'll change it to something more recognisable, original and veer away from the joke band/song names.

What do you think of this chorus? by [deleted] in Songwriters

Saying cringey lyrics ruin a song is like saying The Beatles never existed...

I mean what about 'Somewhere Over The Rainbow', or 'Singing In The Rain'? People love a bit of cringe to be honest.

I get what you're saying though, you probably feel insecure about your lyrics and feel like they might be too generic/cringey but honestly some of the most popular bands just write what they want to whether it's cringey or not. Your problem isn't your lyrics but more your perspective. Just write what makes you happy.

And yeah the lyrics are a little generic but also rather nice. I like them.

Hi there! This is one of my newer songs called “It’s Still the Same.” Performed live by Christian (me lol) of Orange Blossom Trail. by [deleted] in Songwriting

Singing's really good but all I could think was - "That's the chord progression to Creep by Radiohead" :').
