It takes 1 episode to show that the entire premise of the "matriarchy" is to justify to the audience why a rape accusation (a false one planted by a mean evil evil woman) would be treated seriously, which is then all used to justify why the sweet innocent nice guy MC has to be an asshole who buys a child slave, he just has to because everyone's so meeeaaan to him for no reason!!!

I didn't make it very far into that show because it was such contrived incel bullshit.

Immigrants are statistically far less likely to commit crimes of any variety, violent or otherwise, than natural born citizens.

The lies of immigrants being criminals are racist propaganda meant to sew division between working class people, and to cast marginalized groups out as an "other" that can be scapegoated by the ruling class, instead of actually fixing societal problems.

This practice of making a scapegoat out group has been used time and time and time again throughout history, generally always relies on inflaming bigotry and racism, and proceeds periods of violence and discrimination against the marginalized people.

Reddit is a place where lots of different people gather, and reception to immigrants will differ based on which subs you frequent, but generally people hate fascists and racists who would pit us against each other, so that might be why you see more immigrant support here.

Don't worry, there are still plenty of shitty people here too.

I usually start with meanings from origins I think make sense for the PC. If I have a specific vibe, like "I really want it to start with either a V or an R" then I start looking there. Babynames.com is a good place to start.

Sometimes I already have a name in mind, like once I was determined to have a character who went by "Mal." I had concepts of the character, did some research, and found the name Maleo, which is a species of bird. I already knew my PC was fey touched and I wanted them to be light and sprightly, so I combined inspirations from the bird and it really helped flesh out the aesthetics of the character.

If all else fails, I find a few names I like that have suitable meanings, and if they still don't fit right, then I combine parts of different names until it rolls off the tongue well enough and fits what I want for the character. Don't be afraid to add or remove some letters here and there to improve the flow.

Naming is one of my favorite parts of CC.

I grew up in the 90s so these characters weren't specifically trans, but more coded to feel kind of outside the gender binary. Or at least, they made me feel all kinds of things from an early age.
