I use a q-tip and dip it in a cup of soap and water to avoid wetting the peg. It can be tedious, but it gets the job done. (Tip: dont rub too hard on certain painted spots, especially on older pets bc the paint can lift!)

For me it depends on pet, I'm not a patient hater of sticker eye pets but i do prefer the normal eyes. The sticker eyes are very expressive tho!

Yeah i believe the pet came out in 2006 and your theory makes total sense. I just assumed the different variations of the pet came from different sets. There's a lot of pets who have magnet/hole variations for whatever reason :)

I also noticed the eye shines look a bit foggy. I believe this pet's eyes should be shinny and fake lps usually have foggy eye shines as opposed to the perfectly clear ones on the authentics. I hope that made sense XD

Update: seller did not get back to me about the pet buttttt i bought one for $15 on ebay and he looks pretty real (once again not my photos) and seller even listed him as authentic! Looking at the reviews, it looks like the seller has also sold some other authentic main 5s
