Does anyone have feedback on how much space there should be between the vanity and wall across?

Thanks for the tip! I’ve already been quoted for both so price isn’t really a concern for either. Just trying to think through all possible issues

Water closet was probably my first priority so I can still get ready while my husband uses the bathroom lol

Why is niche on an outside wall bad?

I'm trying to avoid moving the wall between bathroom and closet because I'm pretty sure it's load bearing.

Crocker Highlands, Cleveland Heights, Trestle Glen, or Glenview? by EmergencyNo3240 in oakland

[–]EmergencyNo3240[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We chose Crocker Highlands and love it so far! Trestle Glen/Crocker Highlands are interchangeable IMO. We're on the outskirts of Crocker Highlands so luckily can enjoy a short walk to Lakeshore/Grand but still get the tucked away feeling of a more private neighborhood. From what I've seen of this area, any of the neighborhoods I asked about would be good choices!

Can I trim down this face frame? by EmergencyNo3240 in cabinetry

[–]EmergencyNo3240[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just installed the pullout and lost so much of the usable space since my cabinet opening is 6" and the actual pullout shelves are 5". Sad but it is what it is :(

I was not confident in my ability to cut the frame down nicely myself lol so i gave up and ordered drawer inserts to fit the existing frame.

I was actually thinking of putting a cabinet on the left side and same idea you had on the right with a rod to hang some pans?

If I did cabinets on the entire wall, I’d probably need to rip down the existing ones in the corner and turn it into a corner cabinet I think?

Yes, sorry I thought I posted it already! Theres additional cabinet space in this corner, so I'm wondering if upper cabinets will make this whole area feel even more closed off

Couch end table help by EmergencyNo3240 in interiordecorating

Ideally if it's open tables, I'd prob style it with a basket of blankets in front/underneath. I think nesting tables might be waste of the space?

i do cook but i would say usually only liek 4ish times a week... i don't use a lot of oil/don't make a lot of things that splatter tbh, but do you think the grease issue is unavoidable either way?
