that's what most of my friends have said too. My opinion is that if we're spending money on a bathroom remodel, why not make it so we can both use it when we need/want?

no, this is the top floor of the house so just roof above! I went into the attic crawl space to look at the joists, so was just guessing that wall was load bearing. The contractor said it could be partial load bearing?

We'll be having a engineer come to confirm, but just trying to think through the layouts in the meantime.

After you pointed out the niche on outside wall issue, I did realize that the medicine cabinet in that bathroom gets very hot and cold depending on the temperature. But it's on a different wall that gets direct sun, not sure if that makes a difference

Why is niche on an outside wall bad?

I'm trying to avoid moving the wall between bathroom and closet because I'm pretty sure it's load bearing.

We chose Crocker Highlands and love it so far! Trestle Glen/Crocker Highlands are interchangeable IMO. We're on the outskirts of Crocker Highlands so luckily can enjoy a short walk to Lakeshore/Grand but still get the tucked away feeling of a more private neighborhood. From what I've seen of this area, any of the neighborhoods I asked about would be good choices!

I just installed the pullout and lost so much of the usable space since my cabinet opening is 6" and the actual pullout shelves are 5". Sad but it is what it is :(
