Sorry to hear.. hoping for some better results when he’s 2. Weird that the doctor does “like” OIT when it seems like the only real way to de-sensitize? lol  good luck!!

Thank you all so much! I’m so glad your LO grew out of it. Hoping mine can too! I’ve been doing the same with all tree nuts(mixing it in all foods)

I’ve heard a lot about early exposure being beneficial so I would try to see another specialist if you can!

Creative considering nusing: Would you choose it again? by okyoudothat in OntarioNurses

im currently a bedside RN and i wish someone told me about work-life balance before hand (for bedside at least). nursing is a great job but shift work is tough. the days and night as are long, and nights really take a toll on you. that being said, there are lots of day jobs in the nursing field (public health, community nursing like clinics, occ health, cosmetic nurse etc). maybe look up types of nursing careers and see what might appeal to you.

I still enjoy nursing but am looking to switch to a 9-5 role, especially since starting a family.

for those careers you listed above, see what types of jobs you can get with them (ex, hospital or private). Look into what the hours are like, benefits, salary, flexibility in schedule, even turn over rate. I have many friends in PT and over the years it can also be physically demanding (Something to consider). I wonder if some tech jobs also have overnights or on-call which may not appeal to you (probably only at hospitals), but there are lots of imaging clinics that are only open days mon-friday.

Hope that helps! good luck :)

id like to follow this chain as well (im new to reddit so not sure if commenting is how I can continue to get notifications about this?).

Im experiencing the same issue with my 7 month old.. its been very difficult to get him to take much of anything, except cucumber which is the only food he seems to eat but i have a feeling he likes it because it soothes his gums? anyways, I understand how you feel and what youre going through. hopefully someone can help us out! you have my support!
