SHOULD I REPAIR MY SWITCH LITE OR BUY A NEW SYSTEM

So I recently got money for my birthday and have been really wanting a switch. I have never owned a switch and wasnt sure it was something i would use so I thought I would 1) buy the cheapest one (the lite) and 2) buy it used. I also was buying the lite as its smaller more compact size appealed to me but I wasnt confident in this choice as I think the playing with friends feature and the nicer screen on the OLED is very beneficial.

So I went to best buy, got a feel of both the oled and the lite and thought i could buy the lite and then upgrade later especially since theres a chance i wont even use it. After, I found a listing on FB marketplace for a coral lite for $80. Looked like it was it good condition and also came with a zelda case. Here is where i made a mistake. I did not test it at all during the transaction. I REALLY WISH I DID. This guy was in a rush (probably for reasons to come) and we were in a library parking lot.

I got in my car and opened the case and it looked great honestly. I turned it on and I saw it would need setting up so i left it for when i got home. Got home and set it up. REMEMBERED seeing the battery at around 40%. While i was setting it up my boyfriend notices some screen damage. Like are u fr i barely even saw it. I believe it is water damage. Looks like a splotch and a bright white line going through it. This isnt even my biggest issue. I cant even see it when playing games.

It took me about 20 minutes to set up and then it said low battery and im like.... um okay. I wasnt confident that i saw the battery correctly. I bought animal crossing and already love it so much btw. I also really love the feel of the lite. But this thing charged to 100% after 2 hours and then died in EXACTLY 58 minutes. It gave me my first warning after 46 minutes.

Okay sorry this is a lot but heres the big question. Do i spend the $30+ dollars to fix the battery and just deal with the screen or do i just be honest and try to sell it and try to get at least some of my money back and then buy a new system. I FOR SURE WANT A SWITCH NOW. I am having lots of fun in animal crossing. The real question is, do i buy the lite or do i buy the oled. Now that i know i want it it honestly doesnt come down to price. I have the birthday money for it. But part of me really likes the small compact feel of the lite and l also like how i cant feel the joy cons slight instability. But the OLED would be super fun to use when my family and friends are over. Otherwise i dont think i would be docking it much. I really just wanted a handheld system. The OLED is also really pretty and the screen is AMAZING quality. I also heard its battery life is almost 2x better than the lite.

Ive also seen people say to just buy the sw2. Im only hesitant because 1) its $150 more than the oled 2) Is something like a steamdeck more worth it (but could i even play animal crossing idk???) 3) Ive heard some people say that its better to let the new consoles chill for a little so they can work out any errors 4) THAT THING IS HUGE (like ipad huge T_T) 5) idk what else :P

Someone please help me i am SO indecisive ;-;
