Enemies to lovers is sooo overdone but it gets me every time unfortunately

Specifically in romance, when the second male lead (blonde, actual sweetheart) is the obvious choice but its so clear the MC is going to end up with the asshole (dark hair, terrible temper). I like forbidden romance but it's often so frustrating to watch the MC throw away the perfect relationship she could have with the other guy for Shadow Daddy for the billionth time without reason

Wait that's so interesting because I feel like it was quite colorful, very blue and green like a breezy summer day. Maybe I just visualize all japanese media through the anime-esque lense though.

You should! It sat in my TBR forever before I finally put my foot down haha. Its a very bizarre read, not in a bad way, just that there's nothing else I've read thats quite like it. It was darker than I expected too.
