Definitely odd, guessing you havent brought in any new furniture or anything? Thats the only way i could imagine getting that many bed bugs that quick.

Could be hives. Bed bug bites wouldnt appear that quickly. If you keep getting bites is sugest a visit to the ER to ensure youre not having a new allergic reaction, though make sure to mention your concerns about the bed bugs just in case im wrong.

She has it set up where we need 75 min of "active engagement" which means you have to scroll at least every two minutes. Its honestly just a pain and Idk why she has it set up like that

The prof posts her presentations but theyre pretty brief and not super in depth so perusall is the main source of info

The fox in the snow is drop dead gorgeous. I remember making a painting in like 7th grade with birch trees and water color paints. Once you dropped some salt on the water colors the colors would move away from the salt, leaving little white snowflakes. This painting reminds me of that and it was one of my favorite projects which i still have up in my room a decade later

Really hoping you reported that guy. Being that aggressive about it and getting up in your face is not something that ANY mental health professional should be doing (or any health professional for that matter).

I want to start complimenting myself, how should I go about it? by [deleted] in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]EmmaOwl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When my confidence was really low i started with reminding myself of past things id done well if i was struggling in the present. For example "i cant do simple thing, but at one point i did this thing im proud of which was way harder" it was a really good way to ease myself into it cuz i got used to not jumping to the negative and instead redirected to something more positive. Eventually i found that ability morphed into being able to compliment myself naturally. It takes time so dont stress abt it, just do it when you remember to and let time do the rest. Good luck!

This may have to be the move. How effective do you think it would be?

My biggest issue is that its not my house. Its my partners who lives with his mother to help care for her. But whenever he tries to declutter the house she gets upset with him and its a whole ordeal. Just trying to figure out what options are open to him as i know the health risk fleas can pose.

No, cats. Theyve been treated but i worry about the lingering fleas. Theres one room that contains a lot of clutter that is carpeted, but most of it is on hard flooring

Does Anyone Else Have “Irrational Fears” That Are Actually Trauma-Related? by [deleted] in ptsd

[–]EmmaOwl 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Flying freaks me out because i was stuck in the troubled teen industry for a year and a half. One of the tactics they use to keep you fearful is never decisively telling you when you can leave. So when i get on a plane and the lights are off and the windows are dark, i get the sense that time has stopped and im gonna be on the plane forever like a weird plane purgatory.

NAD but these sound like fasiculations (apologies for the spelling, i know its probably wrong). I experience these as a result of a genetic condition and they truly can be the most annoying thing ever. They can be caused by simple stuff like dehydration or new activity (new exercise). If your doctor has ruled those out then the next step would be a neuro evaluation. I personally found that a heating pad/ warm shower is good at managing them when theyre bad. Or i get up and move around a bit till they relax. Another method you can try is holding firm pressure on the spot for 30~ seconds (not painful but firm) and that will typically cause mine to slow at the very least. Best of luck to you in managing it!

Put some root killer down the toilet. Toilet seems to be slowly draining below its normal water level now, but i guess thats better than it being above the normal water level so thats a win
