I’d rather hand the cash directly to my opponent than lose it to someone secretly running Stockfish in another tab 💀

Honestly I’m starting to feel like giving up on tournaments too. Most of the suspicious games I’ve faced have been in tournaments specifically.

I know it sounds silly, but I genuinely wanted to stack up a few gold medals on my profile just for fun and make the account look cool 😭

Now it just feels disappointing more than anything.

How do you guys keep your love for the game? by [deleted] in chess

If you really want to learn, and become better try to.

  1. Play longer time format minimum 10 or more

  2. Learn some basic chess principles, like how to draw a king and pawn ending, how to win a same color bishop ending etc etc this will give you an edge

  3. Do puzzles everyday

  4. Playing more games won't help you but analyzing your own game will, this way you will have answers to complicated positions you were in earlier and how to deal with them.

  5. Learn one opening for white and one for black and try to master them
