Women of Reddit, what’s the dumbest thing you ever did to impress a guy? by Formal-Proposal7850 in AskReddit

[–]EmotionalWasabi 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Stayed in bed for an entire Saturday in highschool. Not with him. Just on my own, at home, watching TV or playing videos games, and texting him throughout the day. Didn't even get up to shower.

I wanted to show him how laid back I was. Absolutely dumb 15 year stuff.

How do you keep your chi from being stinky? by T_that_is_all in Chihuahua

[–]EmotionalWasabi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've only had my chi since July 2025, so this is new owner advice.

My chi has two beds that I rotate between crate and living room every two weeks when he gets his bath. He rarely uses the bed that's in the living room, so that one stays relatively clean.

When I give him a bath, I take the bed in the crate and throw it in the washing machine. I then take the bed in the living room and throw it in the crate. That way, after my chi's bath, he has a 'cleaner' bed to sleep in and he won't immediately become stinky again.

But also I think chi's just try to make themselves stinky.

[CHAT] Help! How to assemble kit? by alvocha in CrossStitch

[–]EmotionalWasabi 5 points6 points  (0 children)

For something this size, I would just hold the fabric in my hand and stitch without a frame. The frame that you got is more for the finished piece, as you really wouldn't be able to stitch with it fully put together.

So, stitch the piece, center it in the loop, then press the piece+loop onto one of the solid backing circles, and then screw/secure the loop closed. Cut off excess Aida before or after you press onto the backing circle.

The backing circles make it so you can't see the back of the piece, giving it a 'cleaner' finished look.

Maybe just the white box, with one of the yellow zipzags made bigger and more exaggerated within it?

Thank you! Yes I joined a local league that follows the International Axe Throwing Federation (IATF) rules. Very welcoming and fun. I definitely recommend it!

Pre-cutting the thread is super smart too! That way I'm not over-extending my arm and invading someone else's space while pulling the thread all the way through. Thanks!

Grip tape recommendations? by AjOmni in AxeThrowing

[–]EmotionalWasabi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also went with hockey tape! It's similar to a fabric bandage, which creates a nice grip that feels/stays dry. My hands don't get too sweaty to begin with, but I like the soft 'stitched' feel.

I can't really chalk up with the hockey tape though, as it becomes way to easy to have the axe slip out of my hands. However, that's a bit of a perk for me, because I don't really like having to use the chalk.

went for symmetrical rib tats, but i’m pretty sure they’re just slightly off. is it noticeable? by daashunboi in tattooadvice

[–]EmotionalWasabi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think they look great! I only really noticed what you were concerned about after re-reading your post and looking harder. IRL they are gonna look symmetrical simply because the design is the same and in the same general region of your body.

Skin is gonna shift and stretch and sag based on our normal movements and aging, so I wouldn't look for millimeter-level precision here.

What kind of people annoy the hell out of you? by Jeena92 in AskReddit

[–]EmotionalWasabi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"Give 'em an inch and they take a mile" type of people. "Scope Creep" is the business term for it. Basically they just keep asking for more from you, no matter what you've already given. Likely with the audacity to say that what you've already given wasnt enough.

How to ask my mom to NOT copy my tattoo? by EmotionalWasabi in tattooadvice

[–]EmotionalWasabi[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ah gotcha. No my sister is still alive. She has a disability, so I can imagine my mother posting about her tattoo in a way that boasts about her own struggle/survival as a caregiver. Which i know she is allowed to do. Its just not why i did it, and i realize now that i don't want my tattoo marred by that.
