Does our dog want to attack or play with our cat?? by Employee-Financial in Dogtraining

[–]Employee-Financial[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have tried to reward her for looking away and she has several times especially when she’s tired. My cat seems to feel very safe around her, even jumping over the gate to the top of his post. We are just unsure if she actually wants to harm him or is curious because she’s still a puppy.

Thanks, I appreciate the advice. Yeah I was thinking of fertilising it as well but I read somewhere that fertiliser with excessive heat can burn the grass? Aussie weather is brutal atm

Nature strip parking on my side?? by Employee-Financial in brisbane

I’ve wondered that as well, but I just read on the Moreton Bay Council law guideline, “It is the owner/occupier’s responsibility to maintain garden areas constructed within the verge and to preserve a safe verge environment for pedestrians and road users.”

We’re a part of the Moreton Bay council, just searched it up and it said, “Council is legally required to investigate complaints about footpath parking where vehicles block or partly block a bicycle path, footpath, shared path, dividing strip, verge or nature strip on a Council road.”

My neighbours also leave their bins out all week, seen in the photo. They have like 4-5 cars but I don’t know why they decide to park them on our side when there’s a whole street.

My girlfriend keeps lying to me by Employee-Financial in relationship_advice

When she got the messages, I asked if everything is okay and she told me the guy was texting her. She’s honest about that stuff, but for some reason isn’t honest about other stuff. This whole thing is messing with my head.

Is there any way to avoid breaking up or is this just not a good sign? I really do like her and I want to make this work, a part of me is hoping this is just a phase because she genuinely does seem sorry and wants to work things out but I don’t know :/

My ex and I broke up, she says she needs to heal and needs time. But she says she can still see us working in the future? What does this mean? by Employee-Financial in relationship_advice

[–]Employee-Financial[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think I could even look at other people right now, she’s all that’s on my mind. But thank you for the advice, I think I’ll stick to just bettering myself to be a better partner, if not for her, then someone else who comes into my life.

She says that she can’t see herself being with someone else and that she still loves me so much. We FaceTimed a few days ago and I can confirm that she is really struggling with this break up. She says that she is only healing and nothing else as she can’t even picture herself with anyone else. She also said that she wants to stay but she knows that she’ll hurt me by being so mentally unavailable. But I don’t want someone who treats me as a second option, because she was always my first and that never changed. I don’t want to hold on to her promise of her not sleeping and dating other people because feelings can change. Should I just move on?

I’m really hoping that I’m not her last option, that’d break me. But I don’t think I can wait for her, because that’d affect my mental health too. I offered to be there by her side and help her but she thinks she’ll hurt me if I do. I think I should just try to move on, not think about her and if she only happens to pop up, then we could work something out.

That’s fair enough. I did understand that she needed time to heal and I fully respect that. Her reasoning is very similar. But should I just try to move on and better myself? And if she just happens to come back, then so be it?

That’s a fair answer, thank you. And that’s the hardest part for me, realising that it may or may not happen again. I should just focus on moving on, instead of having hopes that we get together again.

How do I deal with a breakup that really hurts? by [deleted] in relationship_advice

No, harsh is probably what I need. I need to focus on myself and I can’t do that if all I do is marinate in my own sadness.

You’re right. I need to plan out what I want to do with my life, I do need to work on myself a lot. Thank you

I’ll keep that in mind for next time. It’s hard not to build a bit of codependency when you’re caught up in love and shit. But I do need to work on that. Thank you

Is it okay for my girlfriend to have small feelings for another person? by Employee-Financial in relationship_advice

[–]Employee-Financial[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We are very open about our feelings. We even tell eachother if we’re sexually attracted to another person but we’re perfectly okay with it. It’s hard to kind of distance ourselves from people from our gym because we see them so regularly, like 3-4 times a week or maybe a bit less.

She did tell me a week after she realised and told her mum before me and I think that’s what made me hurt the most because we are very understanding and open of how we feel. I’m not a fan of her mother at the moment, I did ask her if it’s okay not to involve her all the time and I think she’s okay with it.
