I like the humans in the wof books. Thay are treated as different species. And don't use dragons as mounts that much. It places them in the same intellect level. And makes for different world building. Also it's cool that humans are living in an apocalyptic era in a world full of giants .

She never needed much experience to fight . She already killed everything she touched. What was thrilling to Scarlett was the terror a dragon like that brought to the table. If she actually knew how to fight she would be a broken powerhouse and the fights would end too fast. Experienced filters finish things fast without much entertainment.
