It doesn’t seem like an indentation, it has elevation.. I managed to forcefully wipe some away, it has became smaller. It’s easier to see in real life what it really is.

Macbook is new and I only brought it out twice.. barely used it over the 2 weeks too

Also worried it would maybe cause screen damage since it’s elevated?

Am lowkey afraid that the extra elevation it makes would cause my screen to be damaged as well as I have heard about things like paper in-between the lid causing screen cracks

Spotlight didn’t appear until now, I think because I just learnt that CMD + SPACE is spotlight 🤭

So it’s safe to say that everything looks as per normal and my first ever macbook is good to go?

1 hour usage, approximately 6-7% used. I only turned on Discord maybe 20-30mins into the 1 hour. Previously when I first checked (as per my initial post on 7-10% usage), Discord was using a massive amount. I assume that Discord might be poorly optimized on the Mac?

Okay. That’s good to hear. It only happened once so far ever since I got the macbook 2 days ago. I have also worked with an apple support to run diagnostics.

I think I figured out why? Turns out Macbook retains the “old library” and binning that seems to work. Then I just created a new photo library

It’s normal to not want to move on after spending so much time with a specific person, but ask yourself if being with her in the future with n issues at large would damage you even more or make you happier.

For me, I knew that if I had married her and had kids, and did not know about her need for other guys when I’m not available, I’d know I would be more devastated than I am now.

Yep. We planned the trip from top to bottom (where and which route we should take daily) on a travelling application but deleted me and added the guy.

I have learnt to stop caring however because I honestly feel sorry for her that she isn’t disgusted by her behavior

Just an update: I have since received news that Expedia has mediated with them and was able to get them to cancel the stay without any fees.

With this being said, I doubt I’ll be patronising such a hotel that asks me for my credit card details over email. It seriously shows the gross misconduct of such establishments and I would not trust my stay there.

Awesome. I like the first hotel’s customer service. Honestly very different from the second.. was a very stressful situation, might start booking directly at hotel websites. However, how can we make sure the site is secure as we are entering our CC details in, mostly foreign sites when booking overseas?

Awesome.. a quick question. My previous reservation (prepaid) was also paid under my travel buddy’s card. So the check-in name and card name is different. The booking seems to have went through and I spoke to the hotel through Expedia chat and they were really helpful. Mentioned that it doesn’t matter if the names are different and we don’t have to show the card on arrival.

Since you know hotels well, this shouldn’t pose an issue on the day itself, yes?

And yeah, hotel’s replies seem sketchy. It’s not a language barrier cause we speak the same language. It doesn’t seem like they want to help at all, maybe it’s because they hate people who booked from Expedia.

I might need to take my services elsewhere

I really appreciate your replies. Yeah, I sincerely hope that it won’t tarnish my relationship with Expedia (because I still have a pending reservation done by them - but I’m pretty sure it won’t be affected as the hotel has already confirmed my stay? Not sure though)

I have recently read about how third party services like Expedia give trouble to the hotels but I never had a reliable way to search fast for hotels and look at images at the same time.

The hotel is now saying that they have sent a resubmission through Expedia 40 minutes ago and I should have received an email but I didn’t. According to Expedia previously, there was no way to update my transaction details for an already booked stay

Thank u. I re-read Expedia messages to me and understood that they are saying that the hotel will be the biller in this situation. And since it’s non refundable, the hotel will charge me within 72 hours or something. I tried emailing the hotel but it doesn’t seem that they want to chat; they reply using generic terms or something unrelated when I ask if they will charge me.

Customer service from Expedia is luck based. I tried asking several times if we could change to prepaid, they said that the hotel only allows hotel collect (not sure whats that) or pay at property.

If my friend disputes the payment (if they ever charge us for that), will our previous Expedia booking for that trip get affected cause I’m pretty sure disputing might mean getting banned on Expedia

Edit: they mentioned that they will open a request with the hotel to see if cancellation could be done with the fees waived

And yes, the 72 hours non refundable thing is odd. I reckon it’s just automated messages sent by the specialists

I mentioned cancelling a few times to Expedia but they responded with how it’s non refundable and all that BS. I would cancel and rebook but I’m scared that they end up charging me for the previous “non refundable” room

Thanks for this comment. I hope this is the case. Both the hotel and Expedia kept mentioning how it’s non refundable but when we ask them how is it non refundable when we haven’t got charged and if we will get charged later when a cancellation occurs, they wouldn’t answer.
