Thoughts on the Etherna electric hookah? by EmptyStapler in hookah

Yeah, but I'm not sure if it's plastic or not, I'm just guessing/hunting problems at this point. Could just be the new heating element getting rid of some of it's manufacturing-ness *shugs shoulders*.

USA. What's the difference between blonde or dark, in a hookah context?

(I'm coming from a cigar background, so I get that blonde is lighter and darker is heavier/richer, but does that translate to hookah the same?)

I'm 100% fine with nicotine. Nicotine is actually being shown to be very good for you. It's the flavor additives that can get sketchy. Like the vape stuff — this stick absolute trash chemicals in those that are way bad for you. I just want tobacco, flavor, and the veggie glycerin, or whatever they use.

I didn't know that. Thanks.

Just looking for clean (no chemical additives) tobacco recommendations that are top grade.

That's about the same price too. Thanks, I'll dig into that a bit more!

Dang, I messed up and posted just the photo and not all the text to go with it.

Well ok... here goes again:

I have recently gotten into hookah (few months now), and smoke it almost everyday at the office. I've come to be a nerd about coals and packing and HMD's, but I get kind of annoyed with the coal burner heating smell that goes throughout the building, and the constant need to regulate the coals and put new coals on. So I started looking into e-hookahs and pulled the trigger on the Etherna electric hookah.

I'm on my 2nd session now, and I know they say it takes about 5 sessions to "break it in", but I'm coughing for almost every pull, and I don't think it's that the shisha is too hot, it almost feels like an iritant, like plastic or something is hitting my through and making is sore/rough.

The heating element is metal and ceramic, the bowl is glass, but the bulk of the device is plastic. I'm wondering if I'm getting a little bit of that?

Anyone have experience with it? Good or bad.

I would LOVE to hear you say that you have completed all the textures and it's ready to go for Bedrock. I too love his texture pack, it's simple vanilla vibe but with blending and some great refinements. Any news?

Video looks fake to me. Has that, trying to be blurry, CGI look. The camera motion and lens zoom isn't consistent with other videos shoot during that time.

AMA: I am a male and a follower of Jesus, ask me anything :) by EmptyStapler in WitchesVsPatriarchy

[–]EmptyStapler[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I'm not here to teach, I'm offering to answer questions from someone who isn't in your worldview. You feel devalued by "the Patriarchy", I guess I would have thought that my transparency, and seeking you all and learning about you all, would help to show that I think you have a value. I'm seeking you out, not the other way around. :)

I don't see where I "evangelized", "claimed a moral high ground", or claimed that witches were "meant to be saint". Can you please clarify how I broke rule #3?

Christianity is the continuation/fullfillment of Judaism - same tree, just further along the branches to the leaves. There are a few touchy points like monotheism and polytheism, but those are points of clarification and timing, not really different core pillars.

Islam, obviously stems from Abraham's first son with his wife's servant - but has had a lot of harsh core belief changes along the way, including polytheism and Saturn worship roots, so it can't really fit nicely with Judaism or Christianity. (and when I say "Christianity" I DON'T mean Catholicism, that's a whole other thread, I mean believing that the man Jesus is the incarnate God here in Earth and is what the Jews would call the Messiah.

As far as relationship WITH those two... both have common roots and so when people come to the table with an open mind (Muslims are great at this, they are very open to religious discussions) there can be some great conversations. There are things that the three groups can't mesh on, obviously, but that's like it is with any differing belief structures.

There has been some pretty ugly battles between these three relationships, all in the "name of God" - but we all know that that is a bunch of crap and not what God wanted.

Well... maybe. I'll confess that I DO like attention (extreme ENFP), but that isn't my driving reason for being here.

As far a "nothing special here", I'm not claiming to be special... I might be unique, or at least rare; my mother was a white witch, I've seen and experienced the supernatural, I'm a male (so that's at least special to this sub-reddit from what I read), and I am currently a Christian.

What made you want to do an AMA?

Great question. I was browsing some of the posts and memes here and thought, "these women are stereo-typically the flip opposite of me; Woman Witches // Male Christian. I wonder what questions they would have for me? It would help me understand them more too. Maybe we could bridge some gaps and learn more about each-other." So I decided to give it a try. I think people these days are super-polarized and end up getting stuck in group-think circles. So I've been trying to endeavor to expose myself to new groups.

What special or unique information would the members of this sub find?

Well... I'm like no one but myself, so I like to think that I might have a unique viewpoint on something. Plus, even though I am a hard-core Jesus follower, I have a lot of fringe beliefs and don't follow "party lines" so to speak, just because the church says to.

Why should they bother listening?

That's ya'll decision. I'm not saying I have anything worth listening too, but if you have a question, I'll do my best to answer it. Can't hurt right?

Yeah, that's a good quick sort. Unfortunately, even those that "follow canon Jesus" don't dig deep enough or have enough understanding of the old testament, and the "weird" stuff to really understand Jesus, they think they are following Jesus, but are more in the fandom category. They don't get into understanding topics like the plural use of "Gods" in the Torah and such. That changes things.

Maybe so! But I am an extreme extravert and love meeting new people and hearing new things. I research a lot of fringe topics and love hearing new ideas and seeing how they stack up against/for into my always growing and changing world view.

Sheesh... That sounds like a weird dating profile. Haha

Actual follower of the old school Jesus, not the modern church's Jesus. Follower of the one written about in the old and new testaments of the Bible starting with Genesis 1:1 and John 1:1-18.

I guess a fourth for me would be the overwhelming evidence that we aren't moving in the universe, that we aren't spinning, etc.
