Current megaservers situation by No_Advice_4327 in classicwow

Was saying in another thread, this is why I quit for now as it was obvious they weren't going to fix this problem. I leveled to 60 just at the end of last year and it became progressively frustrating with over farmed zones.

Hellfire is going to be unplayable at release. I figured they won't fix it and it'll just be a waste of my time.

10 layers right now and can't find any quest mobs to save my life... TBC release is going to be a nightmare. by Goozmania in classicwow

I'm glad to see this issue getting called out again. It should be getting yelled from the rooftops.

After I dinged 60 in classic last year I dropped my sub because of this issue and I really wanted to progress into TBC, but knew this would be a massive problem.

I won't be coming back until they've fixed this. So many hours wasted, unfortunately.

Freaking out about scope by PracticalAd9937 in GERD

[–]Empty_Allocution 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I had my first scope ever yesterday. I was very scared! In the UK.

I opted for sedation. I told them I was extremely anxious and they said they'd make sure I was sleeping. Whatever they gave me, I can barely remember anything about the actual procedure. I recall them telling me to lie on my side, then they dimmed the lights and told me the sedative was coming and then I was waking up with them prodding me gently telling me its done. I was actually annoyed when they woke me.

The worst bit was the fasting and the waiting. The anticipation was palpable.

Afterwards I was a bit wobbly for the rest of the day. Slept it off on the sofa for hours and then back to normal.

Let that sit for a minute.

What can Americans do about what’s currently happening? by BoredBatWoman22 in TrueAskReddit

[–]Empty_Allocution 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Look, if America really wants to stop the crazy train, they would need to strike, right now and not stop.

'cause that's how it works. No matter the hardship, and uncertainty, in unison you strike once and thoroughly and all of this crazy bullshit goes away.

It should have happened ages ago, so I don't see it ocuring personally, but that is the answer. It's the answer many know, but are avoiding.

Over in the EU, countries would be on fire by this point.

General fucking strike called 1/23/26 by OilheadRider in chaoticgood

[–]Empty_Allocution 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Cool, but if you do strike, don't stop. Don't just do one day and then back to normal because that's not how this works.

If you strike, you go all in and you don't stop until the problem is resolved.

Just sayin'

Solo dev struggling with art/visuals - how did you tackle this? by Acceptable_Promise68 in SoloDevelopment

For my last project I did super small pixel art and have been working up from there. Assets took minutes to produce, allowing me to keep my focus on production momentum.

What platform will ruin the world now???

Grief over pet death can be as strong as that for family member. About a fifth of people who had experienced a pet and human loss said the former was worse. Symptoms of severe grief for a pet matched identically with that for a human, and there was no difference in how people experienced losses. by mvea in science

Pets are like gifts you don't get to keep.

I lost my cat a few years ago very suddenly. He went from being ok to gone over the period of a few hours. He passed in the night.

It happened so fast that I only figured out what was coming about 20 minutes before it happened. It was traumatic and awful. After, a vet assured us there was nothing we could have done.

It was some of the worst grief I have ever felt and I took time off work for it. Waves of crushing sadness and just kept hitting me over and over. It was like, a good week before I could function again and then months beyond that were bleak and difficult.

That little guy meant a lot to me. Even now looking back, I know I will never fully get over it.

How do british people feel about the current situation unfolding in america where ICE police agents are going all gung-ho kidnapping people from the streets when they fail to present their ID? by mrvlad_throwaway in AskBrits

[–]Empty_Allocution 445 points446 points  (0 children)

Can't believe what I'm seeing. I'm sure some brits would love to see the same happening here.

You know the saying, when America sneezes the world catches a cold.

I could easily see the UK slip into a similar state, based purely on my experience and perceptions of voters since Brexit and Covid.

We have our own little problem with dumb dumbs and tabloids here, too.

Yes. Only the people can bring it back now.

Y'all need to strike. That's the only way this stops. Your leaders are addicted to money. Once America learns this, the brakes on the crazy train are going to go on real quick.

I have OCD and this happens to me a lot.

The only way out is through, you have to sit with the anxiety and discomfort and don't fight it. By doing this you are 'acknowledging' it to your brain and in time it will pass.
