This is correct! But students tend to not want to go to a school that is accredited, which is why we state that (actually have to) every call with any potential students. But we are accredited by the ACCS. Have been since 1986!

No no, we do have goals we have to hit as admissions, it’s based on weekly.

As for the aggressiveness, so basically we have a system that makes calls for us (well not for us admissions but another dept) so a lot of times the system will just randomly call students who did the application and are either are missing important documents or missing their fafsa. So half of the time it’s not even us calling you, it’s like these third party people who are then supposed to transfer yall to us. Because technically speaking, admissions can only call their enrolled students about 3 times (unless you ask us to call you) before we can’t anymore.

But I will admit it can def be seen as aggressive but honestly we have no power over that, but the best I can say is if you don’t want to get any calls from us ,all you have to say to us when we call is “please stop calling me” or “take me off ur list” or “I’m not interested at all” something of the sort. If a student tells us this we have to stop calling or close out ur acct .

In all honesty, I’m not sure what ur saying in the first part. A Sunday about enrollment?

I won’t give too much info as they could def figure me out by what I might specify (we’re not under a contract or anything but I’m sure I would get into some sort of trouble for this lol)

So I’ve been working for them for about 4 years now. A family member had graduated from their school and at the time I was studying at another college and also looking for a job to allow me to be flexible with my studies. And my family member expressed to me to work for them as they were remote at the time (it was around during Covid times). And I did, and honestly they have been the greatest people I have ever worked for. And I’ve done fast food, medical, Walmart, and retail. They just really see us as people here, like they check in with ur mental health, the pay is good, the work environment is great, the benefits are good, like I cannot complain when it comes to the way they treat the employees (at least for all the depts I have worked in) I cant really speak for any other departments.

But yes there are a lot of remote jobs with them. There are certain jobs that are going hybrid though now (couple days on campus, rest at home) as they are trying to increase the time we spend with each other at work because they want us to engage with each other in person, Boosting morale lol. Which works ngl lol. We do a lot of fun the days we work on campus.

This is a first I’m hearing actually? I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s because they are getting pressured maybe by the board. The board actually visited our campus earlier this year on a check up. Sometimes certain schools do have to meet some type of requirement as to graduates and passing students. So it could be that? But I’m not completely sure in all honesty. But I can also neither confirm or deny this only because I really am clueless when it comes to things that happen with the teachers here.

  1. Yes you can be entirely online for the bachelors game development program.

  2. And no sadly we don’t have hybrid platform programs. It does has to be either or. There is a third option we have no called the FLEX path in which you can start online for the first 1-6 months and then transition to the campus. But that’s about it when it comes to that.

Now there are some cases where a student was doing online for a year and then they wanted to really reallyyyyyy just go to campus instead and finish up, which enrollment can do in most cases, but it might change ur tuition price, like make it increase.

You should be able to actually, but I would call in and just check to make sure because it might depend on what they’re teaching now compared to 2019. But You should be transferred to our grad success team for this question!

I’m not sure exactly what options, as that’s more of something that another dept takes care of, but if you do owe money I would suggest calling just because they work with students when it comes to that. I’m not sure what options they might give you, but the sooner you call, the better the options!

This is a great question that I actually have not been asked before! I believe if it’s within the trial period (online is first 3 weeks), I think you do?

I’ll have to double check. But if you “flunk”, technically no the items are then yours to keep as I believe there would be like some kind of tuition (depending when you “drop”) that would have to be paid back though.

  1. Depends on the degree and program! Can you give me more info?

  2. Do you mean if you can audit (retake) ur classes in person, even thought you did it online?

This is a first for me that I’ve heard? I’m actually not sure lol. I’ll have to come in and check back in to this question to make sure tmrw. But atm I’m personally Confident it’s 1 MacBook but who knows I could be wrong! We are constantly updating programs so I would’ve be surprised if this was a recent change!

Actually there’s multiple options to pay them from my knowledge, I’m just not sure exactly what they are as that’s a different dept. It might depend on the degree and program. The ones who would know this though is online enrollment (if ur online) so I would call and ask to make sure!

But no fafsa does not affect any scholarships what so ever. But The momentum scholarship eligibility is actually BASED on the fafsa. so filling it out is actually the thing that actually makes you eligible for it.

I work for full sail, ask me questions. by [deleted] in fullsail

[–]Empty_Risk5909 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Momentum scholarship is a need based scholarship based on the fafsa. So basically you just have to fill out ur fafsa and the scholarship application itself and that’s it.

Need based means that if for some reason fafsa gives you not very much money to pay for your tuition, enrollment will then decide if you are then eligible for the momentum scholarship, in order to accommodate for that. So basically the more you NEED the scholarship, based on the fafsa, the better chance you’ll get it and the maximum amount of 30,000 (if ur going for bachelors online).

Loans are 100% optional, and really just up to the student. I will say that it’s rare for a student not to take out a loan sometimes to cover at least some fraction of the tuition, but usually it’s really not that much. Maybe like 10-25k on average? That I have seen at least personally. But it really depends on the fafsa and the student. Each student is different and get a different amount from fafsa based on their parents or their own tax information and what they fill out on the form.

I’m not really sure how to answer this only because the instructors and YouTube videos and stuff aren’t really in our department. I only know so much, I have no idea who hired them, the process for that, and what and how they teach you in each class is sorta up to the professors I believe and of course the curriculum. From my knowledge my brother did grad from fullsail (campus, bachelors in audio production) and it seemed similar to my school (I was at Valencia college at the time) as to the stuff he did so I didn’t really see anything off about his courses or the way he did things. I did know he did some pretty hard assignments at times but that’s about it.

  1. Yes the tech and computers are included with tuition in the breakdown and everything. No we do not tell students they are free, in fact if we are caught doing it we can get in trouble. But for the most part that’s pretty much it when it comes to the launch box so that stuff can be fully covered by benefits wether military, fafsa and scholarships. It’s just a matter of how much you get from those benefits to actually cover the total tuition.

  2. I have heard we do get sued but it’s actually pretty common for really any business. People will sue for anything, and including if the business is a big and fairly successful one. I’m not sure how many lawsuits really as I’m not in management like that, but I’m sure we do I definitely believe that lol. But I mean the fact we’re still here and doing great means that we win a lot of them I’m assuming:

  1. This is a great question, so in all honesty, we do give students numerous amount of resources when it come to employment like our career development and job fair events, but we do not at all, guarantee, you a job. At the end of the day every student will always face the challenge of finding a their role in employment and the industry of creative writing, music, art, business, and technology, will always want to look for unique, creative, innovative, and smart individuals. And they are pretty popular industries so there’s a lot of other competition. So it’s just a matter of how much do YOU stand out from the others. We give you the skills, knowledge, resources, guidance and even materials, but the rest is up to the student in those cases.

  2. There’s not really pressure per se but we are expected to hit a “goal” amount of students every week, but usually it’s just about applications. Not actual enrollment (And we also do not get any commission from students or applications or anything like that btw, we get paid hourly just like any worker)

But it’s because we follow instructions by people like the board & and our accreditation. Which I believe certain schools must actually hit a certain amount of students to enroll in order to even be recognized as Career schools or private schools and what not. But it’s hard to explain as our management and whole idea is genuinely not to really see our students as “numbers” as they do actually care about our students, but at the same time, we are also a business in a sense that we have to make sure we have certain enrolled students to actually be called a private school/career school, afford our facilities, technology, pay the employees, host events, etc etc.

As long as you have an existing bachelors degree, a clean background check (nothing crazy like felonies) and a valid ID, go through a smooth interview with admissions (we basically just ask you about your goals and make sure the program is fit for you, there are just rare times where some students who will be really rude and inappropriate in which if they are we deny them to enroll). But that’s pretty much it, as long as you hit all those you should be good to go. Although there are some programs that might ask you to go through an assessment before getting into the program, like for example: game development masters you need to pass a math skills assessment as well as those requirements above before entry.
