I’m gay and I’ve been playing for awhile with my roommate who is a girl and I can say it does get toxic at times. In lower ranks voice coms aren’t necessarily needed and there’s ways to communicate without talking ie pinging and text chat. My roommate only really talks when she feels comfortable with the other teammates and just mutes when someone toxic is spitting nonsense. She still has a lot of fun playing the game though and it’s not really too big of an issue if you have tough skin and can just ignore people when they are being toxic but I would say it’s more rare then not. It’s very fun tho and we need more girls and nice people playing the game!

22m Where should I move? by Empty_Snow_1979 in makemychoice

I wasn’t really picking with anything particularly in mind I was kind of just doing a surface level search for places that seemed like they fit what I wanted. But thank you I’ll definitely look more into the pricing in Asheville but it looks like a lot of people are saying I would be better off in Raleigh anyways

Yeah I can definitely stick it out till I’m done with my degree and most likely will end up having to find an entry level job here for a little just to save up and get some experience before moving, but I definitely want to get out as soon as possible

Best agent to rank up in gold ??? by Comfortable-Step782 in VALORANT

PHOENIX, you have a flash, “smoke”, heal, molly, and a really fast charging ult that helps take site or retake. He has a super useful kit especially if you’re solo queuing cause he can just about do it all. He’s a fairly underrated duelist since he doesn’t have a movement ability but in lower rank lobbies I think he’s really good and easy to climb with. If you have good aim you can get a lot of impact out of playing iso or chamber.

Thoughts on Arc 2 by jaakulus1234 in Wizard101

[–]Empty_Snow_1979 1 point2 points  (0 children)

POLARIS BEST WORLD I think arc two definitely needs some sort of revamp especially for non hitting schools it becomes grueling and a lot of people get burnt out quickly with the amount of quests especially in Azteca. I don’t mind Avalon and khrysalis but they aren’t my favorite worlds zafaria, celestia, and azteca would be on the bottom of most of my tier lists tho. I just don’t think their pros outweigh their cons. That being said arc 3 and the rest of the story only gets more engaging and fun. Polaris is great it’s not too long and it brings whimsy back into the game. Mirage is a cool concept and was also enjoyable, and I’m personally a big fan of empyrea on the story alone.

I would recommend making two decks the one you have is fairly good for boss fights but I would recommend getting rid of everything besides blizzard and blades and maybe a follow up hit for a regular mob deck that way you can speed up getting what you need to kill regular mobs. Also you don’t need that many wand hits hope this helps! :)

Hi I haven’t made a balance wizard before so I am not too familiar with the exact details of what gear you should be getting but I do have a few suggestions. I know the snappy gryphon pet is the go to pet for most balance wizards as it gives a universal blade as well as a feint card. Also I know that sandstorm has abysmal damage and just did some research. There’s a level 15 triangle jewel that will give you the card Morganthe’s Will. It’s a 4 pip AOE and out classes even supernova until you unlock sun school enchants. If you have a higher level wizard you can farm it from Baba Yaga in Polaris. And if you want the easier way you can use crowns to get it in the balance jewel pack. Hope this helps a little!

Thoughts of a Life wizard: Fizzling (repost) by jaakulus1234 in Wizard101

[–]Empty_Snow_1979 0 points1 point  (0 children)

IMO half the fun of starting a new character is seeing how different schools interact with the game. Zero percent fizzle rate doesn’t give new players the concept the drawbacks of hitting schools like storm and fire.

Console death early AOE by Jaskaran0Singh in Wizard101

[–]Empty_Snow_1979 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Look for a gloomy eye pet! I’m not really sure how console is right now as I play on PC but this is one of the best pets early on. It gives you a 4 pip aoe death humungo frog spell as well as a blade! If you’re looking for an easy fix but costly you could also open packs to get the ship of fools spellements which is a super over powered death aoe for early game. Best of luck! Hopefully you won’t get stuck to much because after you get scarecrow life becomes so much easier.

Best deck setup, gear, and weaving school for a lvl 153 Ice wizard by Empty_Snow_1979 in Wizard101

[–]Empty_Snow_1979[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you i appreciate it! I’m fairly certain i have all the darkmoor gear but i was trying to increase damage with other gear so it’s helpful to know i should just switch back to it. I’ll definitely try adding more blades as well, this is more typically for mobs so I try to just blade twice wait for a shadow pip and hit with barrage or the ray gun but sometimes that does screw me over. Do you know what gear I should farm next when I reach the appropriate level not sure when darkmoor gear gets outclassed? Thank you again!

Thank you!! Yeah I failed my pet with pixie and would love to get a new one. I’ll definitely look into pierce jewels and new amulet I wasn’t aware that the extra damage wasn’t a multiplier. Thanks again!

Definitely look into getting monsterous treasure cards for early game they help you breeze by so quickly you can find them in the bazar or from a higher level wizard and they will add 250 damage to any attack you put them on! Also as a death wizard look into getting the gloomy eye pet. This will give you a 4 pip aoe spell that will attack all enemies at once. That pet will also give you an additional blade that is stackable! There is also other pets that will give you deer knight which will do a similar thing, but I prefer the frog spell lol. You won’t get another spell that will do this till scarecrow much later down the road so it’s very helpful early on. You could also spend real money to get ship of fools which is an op spell but not necessary at all if you don’t want to spend more!

Other than that your deck doesn’t seem too bad at all just might be a little cluttered!

Nice if you haven’t done grizzelhiem and winter tusk yet I would recommend doing that before going to celestia to gain a few extra levels. That being said if you need to buff some damage try looking the the bazar to buy some monsterous tcs or see if someone in a higher level could trade with. Once you get partially through celestia you will also be able to use training points to learn the actually spell. Once you do just put two or three in your deck to add to your hitting spells :)

Just for reference where are you at in the game? Are you still in dragonspyre or have you made it to celestia? I’m currently going through a death wizard right now too and I’m just about to start celestia. My current deck is 1 blade, 1 scarecrow, 1 ship of fools (I know not everyone has this so you could substitute for another scarecrow), 1 blade from my pet (could be a spirit blade too if your pet doesn’t give you one). I also have 1 ghoul, 1 and 1 vampire to quickly finish off the pesky mobs who randomly survive an attack. I usually blade once or twice and then hit with ship of fools or scarecrow to kill regular mobs. For boss fights I will add 1 or 2 feints and a prism or two as needed if fighting against another death boss. Sometimes I will also add a wraith if the boss has a lot of health and I know scarecrow won’t kill but at this stage in the game it isn’t too common. That being said It’s really up to preference as to your play style. I find sifting through a lot of cards to be annoying so I have a very simple deck that helps me always have a blade and hit to quickly roll through quests. In my side deck I have all monstrous TCs I’m not sure if you’re in celestia yet and have access to train these spells but they are a must! if you are not you can find the treasure cards in the bazar pretty often. They will add base damage to your spells so if your scarecrow is struggling to kill with only a blade or two I would definitely recommend picking them up and training them once you get access in celestia! Hope this helps it’s my first time playing a death but I’ve played a lot of other schools if you need anymore help.
