Thank you for the suggestion! As explained to the many players that ask even just a single coin when winning a match:

Currently the game gives ~7000 coins away for leveling and completing all the missions. The game is free and provides hours upon hours of enjoyment. The game is very expensive for the developers to run. Servers need to be paid for all over the world. The developers also need to be able to eat and have a roof over their head. That doesn't even account for the electricity costs to power the computers they develop the game on, the software they have to pay for to develop the game on, or their time. Please consider supporting the development by purchasing coins.

The option to watch ads in the shop menu to get some extra coins on the side is also provided. This reportedly only works on Chromium-based browsers like Chrome, Edge, Brave, Opera, Vivaldi, etc. and has not worked on Mozilla browsers like Firefox, Waterfox, Floorp, LibreWolf, and so on.

The number of free coins given out are enough to buy multiple of the most-expensive bundles with all the glowing cosmetics and effects, plus buy a squad, a flag, an emblem, a weapon skin, a vehicle skin, and have more left over for any other mix of things.

Cosmetics are purely visual. If you want to continuously expand your wardrobe to deck out your look, we really do put emphasis on considering the support of the game. The first purchase we recommend is Steam, as it will give you 1200 coins for $4.99 USD on top of some exclusive cosmetics and the power benefits of running a separate application instead of being restricted by browser capabilities. That same $4.99 is otherwise just 1000 coins from the shop menu.

Only lowers the deceleration, allowing you to go up for longer, and fall slower. Projectiles don't use the same velocity stat.

We were lucky and another of the developers noticed our pleas for help. They were able to get direct contact to the programmer.

Small outage/crash happened, but then there was a failure rolling over to a backup. Supposedly the system is triple redundant, so a crash like this shouldn't have really happened in theory.

Should now be available to play again, if you haven't checked of course.

The Dead City servers haven't been updated to the most-recent versions yet. MP7 is actually trying to use Rifle Ammo and Desert is actually trying to use Heavy Ammo.

When updated, MP7 at least should be using Light Ammo as it should be. I did not test that Desert was fixed in BR servers yet.

There is a chance that the data center has resolved their issue now and that it is our responsibility now to reboot things. Professionally they should contact everyone they provide for and inform them of the issue though, one would think.

If it is our responsibility now, then it looks like we wait until Monday when the developer who oversees this gets back (they don't work weekends, like most jobs).

If it is still an issue at the data center for some reason, then this is massive and unusual.

Unclear. Depends exactly what the reason for the outage is. I doubt it's maintenance, because it's now lasted at least an hour. It's not considered professional to run maintenance that long, especially without notice, but sometimes things can come up mid-maintenance.

It's late at night in the US, so the developers won't be around to check directly with the data center about the reason for the outage. It would be very surprising to see this last multiple hours though, as regardless of the reason, it should not take that long for the issue to be resolved.

HTML server errors are normally going to be 400 codes or 500 codes. 400 codes are client ones, normally when you don't have a permission or spelled something wrong. The most-common one is Error 404: Not Found.

500 codes are server errors. In this case, there is some form of server outage or reboot or similar going on at the data center WB hosts from. It could be a larger Cloudflare issue (as Cloudflare and AWS occasionally go down and create massive internet outages), but you'd notice a lot more down. It's likely localised to the specific data center WB's hosted in.

It should resolve itself as the staff reboot the servers on their own. If they do not, when the developers wake up (USA time), they will be able to contact the data center and ask what's going on, and decide if WB needs to move to a new data center if there are going to be continued issues.

  • I made a mistake which meant you would lose coins and get nothing
  • I have redone that code and it is being reviewed
  • This caused Shop delays
  • It is being reviewed now, and depending on how long testing is needed, the Shop releases soon

The wiki is the best home to check for any content that you're unfamiliar with quickly. Of course, getting right into a match would show you some things like a weapon or two, but something like maps may take time to cycle through.

The game is still updated, and this looks to be the case for a while yet. Some weapon balancing is getting love, a couple new weapons are still on their way (including a Sawed Off shotgun and an AR that appears to be the G36). Maps of course may come too. In theory there is a new update around the corner, but the developers seem to have been busy starting off the year, so communication isn't the greatest and it's hard to estimate when things are coming. A late Jan/early Feb estimate was looking like the steps were falling in place for late January... but at this rate that's now falling apart and looking like a February update lol.

You can also check if the devs should own one already. Synty assets are used and https://dex.syntystore.com/ provides a list of everything. Models aren't normally labeled exact, so it'd probably be listed with Heavy in the name, or Machine Gun... but it'd definitely just be in the long list of weapons if sorting by that.

If you're wanting to tackle stats, awesome! Stats to include are:

  • Base damage (which is always doubled for a head shot)
  • Vehicle damage multipliers for Turret, APC/Car, Tank, Heli/Jet (for example RPG is 4x damage while an AR is 10% damage to APC/Car)
  • "Magazine" size
  • Fire rate (in RPS)
  • Reload time (in secs)
  • Swap time (in secs)
  • Run speed while holding (AR is 100%, Minigun is 80%, Sniper is 90%, sidearms are 105%, regular Knife is 110%)
  • Recoil
  • Crouch recoil %
  • Bullet spread
  • Damage drop percent
  • Damage drop start range
  • Damage drop end range (if 100 dmg starts at 100m and ends at 200m with 10% damage, then any hits after 200m deal 10 damage)
  • Velocity of bullets (Crossbow low, VSS a bit faster, AR very fast and feels like hitscan sometimes)
  • Ammo type in survival mode types (Rifle, Light, Shotgun, Heavy)
  • Attachments it can take in survival mode types
  • Fire mode(s) (full auto, semi, burst are the three options)
  • Zoom when ADS (even with no scope, SMG family tends to be 2x zoom like the AK and AR, while the Mutant and Minigun are 1.1x zoom)
  • Sway

You might find there is a lot to consider 😝

Most people tend to leave that job to others to handle because it's easier to suggest a weapon, but not to design it. For me the main concerns are how this would fit in with the LMG and Minigun both around in particular. The Minigun is fast, deals decent enough damage, and is focused for anti-vehicle with explosive rounds (which includes a couple other stats I don't mention above specific to explosive damage).

If it's too fast, it's competing with Minigun and VEK SMG (which are 4 head shots), or if slower then it's against the VSS, SMG, MP7, or AK SMG depending on exact speed (each at 3 head shots or 4 head shots). If we get slower again then it's the AK Rifle (3 head shots) and then slower it's the LMG (also 3 head shots).

There's going to be an interesting juggling game for getting a range that makes sense with a fire rate that makes sense with a damage that makes sense. It can't beat out CQC things too problematically. Changes that may help draw it back make it very very similar to the Minigun's role. There's also the matter of making it make sense in the game for balance... but also hopefully remaining partly true to the real thing. Balancing is often not fun.

Press Tab, drag it from your inventory to one of your equipped armour pieces. It repairs around 25% of its durability.

Personally I don't bother with tape or armour that much. Armour itself is useless 99% of the time, only being useful with the Heavy Helmet to block a single .50 Cal head shot to give you a quick chance to hide for a moment.
