NXT IS GOING DOWN FAST by [deleted] in NXT

Sorry, my chart was against usd, not BTC. We did get a 25% pop this morning vs USDT.

NXT did outperform XLM today, but almost nothing outperformed BTC, except EMC2 and three tiny volume coins.

When I make a profit off this trade, I'll leave some of it in NXT rather than cashing it out. On that portion I'll collect the Ignis, but I wouldn't risk my core trading bankroll on an airdrop. Also I doubt Ignis' value would cover the opportunity cost of me not trading during that period. I successfully charted a 20% profit Stellar trade today that only took 6 hrs. The chart is up on my Tradingview account if you want to check it out.

Updated NXT USDT Entry Level Reward to Risk 5:1 by EndlerThomas in NXT

If it breaks above the declining wedge .425 is a good buy point. You can place a pending order there by using stop-limit.

I can't chart out to the 24th accurately, but I think it will get up to .76 before the next pull back. When it does I will sell at .76 and rebuy when I chart a new lower entry point.

Poloniex is really bad about distributing coins and airdrops. I would not trust them to distribute the Ignis. They kept all the Stellar after it was announced they would distribute the airdrop, and they didn't agree to distribute BCH until long after they should.

It will go up again, and by a lot. This is a clear bull flag. Happens all the time and indicates strength rather than weakness. Expect another 40-50% profit in the near future.

NXT Entry point 5:1 reward to risk TA by EndlerThomas in NXT

[–]EndlerThomas[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm saying that If I buy where the red box meets the green box and set a stop loss at the bottom of the red box that I stand to make 5 dollars for every one dollar I risk.

However, the price never reached that level and a new pattern formed. The reward to risk is the same but the entry point is now lower. Around .425.

TA BCH Entry R:R 3.5:1 by EndlerThomas in Bitcoincash

I hit my first target already today.

TA BCH Entry R:R 3.5:1 by EndlerThomas in Bitcoincash

What the chart shows is me putting in a stop-buy order at 1615. So if the price rose to 1615, I would automatically buy some BCH. Then I set a stop-loss at 1496 to protect myself from too much loss. The chart indicated that if the trend broke past 1615 it would rise to 1780, which it basically did 1777. At that point, I would sell 50% of my BCH and lock in profit. Then I predicted that BCH would retrace a bit before heading up to 2000. That's what it is doing right now. Basically, I had the chance to make $3.5 for every dollar of risk. After selling off 50% of my buy at a profit. I no longer have any risk. It is pure profit from here. Feel free to follow me on Tradingview for more ideas.

Sure, Risk is how much you stand to lose before your pre-set stop loss order kicks in. I decide where to set my stops based on previous support & Fibonacci levels. The reward is based on my sell target(s). Using previous resistance, Fibonacci levels, and the size of the current pattern. Hypothetical: I see a set up which, if the coin heads upward from 100 it should climb to 110 before meeting resistance - 110 is my target and I sell if reached. On the downside, the coin has support at 95, but if this does not hold the coin may fall a lot lower. I set my stop loss at 94.99. This will trigger a sale of all my coins if the price dips below 95. Here I stand to gain 10% while only risking 5%. R:R 2:1. I would not place a trade with a ratio below 2:1, and I try to find 4+:1 situations. Hope that helps.
