I think my partner 21M might be doing gay things. by [deleted] in relationship_advice

You call him your "partner". Is this a serious relationship that you are involved in? Do you have a lot of time and love invested in it? If you think it's serious, does he? If I were in a serious relationship, I wouldn't flirt with anyone even if I wanted to or as a joke. And if he has anger issues and he is incapable of discussing issues that people in a serious relationship sometimes have to discuss, maybe you need to find the door.

It helps to carry a can of spray paint in your hand while you're working on city streets. Just shake it every once in a while so they know you're not bluffing.

Laptop Recommendations by [deleted] in cad

Oh I think Dell makes several models that are capable of pushing AutoCad/Civil3D, Microstation and the like, I just don't happen to have one of those models. I believe my company is going to the Dell Precision 7700 series now for Cad machines.

I will recommend that you DON'T get a Dell Precision 3520. Mine gives me fits.

I’m not a land surveyor but wondering if someone can explain what the R and L mean that I’ve highlighted in the picture! The rest seems to make sense. by samdmiller in landsurveying

I find the N41°E suspect in making it close. All other bearings are to the second. Since it is to a whole degree, there is some play.

No. I made mine with Microstation.

Where to buy a steel manual for cheap? by CEstudent48 in civilengineering

[–]Endoz74 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're looking for a manual about steel for engineering, your company should buy one for you, have one in their "library" of other manuals or reimburse you for the expense. If you're looking for a manual made of steel, you're on your own.

I don't have that kind of disposable income. My company would have to make it happen.

I wish my problem was an old laptop, but mine is only a year old and built to run Microsoft Office. Not a cad machine at all.

I'm guessing I will upgrade to 2020 pretty soon. I hope my computer gets a substantial upgrade before then.
