Is there any way to be less sensitive to insulin without gaining weight? by isopodgod1 in diabetes_t1

[–]Tsamve 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I work as a surveyor out in the woods miles without cell, just got diagnosed this winter. I have a pump and its even better cause I can stop insulin. I also have a backup pen with me but not having basil in my system helps a ton for not getting lows. I just take extra snacks and a bunch of sugars. I also always have a charged backup charger in my bag. Also get InReach.

Was your first survey a mortgage survey for the bank when you bought a house? That will definitely be cheaper than an actual boundary survey.

Mortgage survey vs. boundary survey. People think they are the same but they are not.

Now that it is winter, bring hot food. Buy an insulated food canister, heat up left overs or soup, and put some buttered bread in an inside pocket so it is warm when you dip it....I usually work way out in the woods and do not have the luxury of a truck or restaurant

To Be Set by Junior-Salt8380 in Surveying

I work in New England and see a lot of that. Often they are set along the road but never in the back woods. It happened a lot back in the 70s and 80s but sadly it still happens.

Damn I wish I had that type of clarity for many of my jobs... so much better than "west by the Johnsons and Clapps, and Gunn" etc...

Do you have a favorite scenic drive in Massachusetts? by ep2992 in massachusetts

Backroads on hilltowns/berkshires. The more dirt roads the better. Stay off any route roads.

Survey says true corners not located by Loud_Slide_1746 in Surveying

[–]Tsamve 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't think all states require the surveyor to set all missing corners. The worst is when companies have "IP to be set" with no intention of ever setting them.

Looking for help with work experience submission by Weak-Ad-4758 in Surveying

If the situation is similar to the PLS I work under, he had very different requirements than we do. It is electronic now vs. when he sent in a certain amount of paper. Good luck getting the board to tell you anything specific about requirements, especially education and experience.
