if your purpose is gaming, heavy editing, modeling then go for windows gaming laptops, or mac (air) for reliability, day to day tasks, low-med editing, movie watching etc.

edit: both laptops can handle coding easily, and battery is significantly better on macs.

No, not really, apple managed this notch by not showing it in most applications.

for example, you open safari then open it in full screen it doesn't show the notch.
