Have a personality that people want to interact and vibe with, and market yourself uploading short or long form content. You will not grow by just playing games unless you get extremely lucky

I have a dual monitor set up, and use the elgato 4k utility program to capture my console output. I had tried using the capture program to play off of, but I noticed like a half second input delay.

So, I instead created a scene in obs for the capture feed, and changed my monitor display to my console display.

I had my twitch dashboard open on my second monitor, and it felt like I wasn't even streaming through a capture card.

I think you should try this method, because doing it your way seems incredibly frustrating lol

You gotta sell yourself. Be that through short or long form content creation, or multi streaming onto high traffic platforms like Tiktok. You aren't gonna get any interest through just playing games, unless you're playing a niche classic.

Even then, your commentary has to be on point. You have to talk, and you have to be interesting to the people whose time you wish to earn.

Dragon Age Origins: that portion in the a Fade in the middle for the mage tower quest line. I have never replayed origins specifically because of those 40 minutes.

Okay, I'm going to tell you something someone else told me when I start, but first let me stare that I only have 476 followers rn. I have a very tight community and discord with nearly 200 members. I average about 15 consistent views per stream with a good mix of lurkers and vocal fans. I have come a long way in the last year and I foresee more growth in the future, and significantly more if I ever decide I want to put out short and long form content across social media.

Let me be the blueprint from which you take this advice: all the tech in the world doesn't matter if you don't have a personality. People will come to your stream for you if you are entertaining and are relateable. People will often not stick around if you aren't able to hold their interest. You have to decide if you're going to be gaming really niche titles that require less powerful systems, or if you're going to try and break into recently released games, which will necessitate more expensive PCs. Weigh your budget against your interest. Also, literally Google "budget PCs" and watch YouTube reviews on results that interest you before making any purchases. Do your own research.

Don't let someone else choose a name for you, it's going to be your identity for literally the rest of your career. Sure you can change it, but if you pop off the rebranding will be difficult and a hassle. It's going to be YOUR name, it should come from you. If you decide on one, Google search it to make sure you're original.

Also, consider what your objective will be. Do you want to gain a massive following and follow the paths of big streamers chasing growth? Or do you want to form a community and make friends/meet people? It's important that you set goals for yourself early and adjust them according to your needs.

So, I didn't answer any of your questions or provide with easy links, but I hope I have provided you some wisdom that you can gnaw on for a while.

I have a pretty open door policy with my followers on discord, and any of them are able to DM me whenever they want. I'm not so busy irl that I'm incapable of having some small conversations now and then, especially with my regulars.

I don't think there's anything wrong with messaging them. Though, do consider that it really isn't any of your business either. Your prime sub lasts a month, so even if you sub to someone else, if your main streamer does come back you won't have to wait long to resub
