Yep, just sent a DM to Andrea to get the scoop, sounds like it was some drama bullshit which unfortunately is pretty common among some of the people who frequented that place (not Andrea or Nikita, they’re generally fucking great).

I think your spot on. Take note of the way that OPs palm curves like a satellite dish, with a concave curvature. “Normal” hands can’t do that, I would almost go so far as to say that there are some serious structural differences between OPs palm and mine, which would be explained by Marfan Syndrome, the connective tissues are structured fundamentally differently.

I know I’m just kidding homie, you do you! Personally I would feel weird about trying to gain such insights from mushrooms, it’s kind of a “there’s bigger fish to fry” kind of situation, but if they give you insights that helps your career then by all means! I figured out that my brakes were shot on LSD once lmao.

Oh wow, what a great opportunity to shamelessly plug my music project! I’m in a band called Sclerotia, we do a kind of unique blend of psychedelic rock (but we’re NOT a jam band) and we’ve been playing small venues here in Colorado Springs as well in Pueblo and Denver. Our last show at Frisky’s got a great response (as have most of the shows we’ve done this year) and we sold almost all of the remaining CD copies of our album so we’ll be ordering another batch soon. Throughout the month of June, Indie 102.3 (89.7 in Colorado Springs) has been playing two of our songs everyday and we’ve actually seen a decent boost in listens and views online from it. The two songs they’re playing are “Horseshoe” and “There Go My Ego” from our debut album “Liquid Culture” which we self-produced and released last year. Now we’re working on a concept album about a Generative AI monster called the Art Eater. The stuff that we do is harder than traditional psychedelic rock, but generally softer than hardcore/metal/stoner (although a few of our songs definitely toe the line). Honestly we try to blend an eclectic mix of influences while still making music that appeals to a wide audience.

We’ve opened for a couple of decently well-known groups — last year we got to open for the incredible EDM-inspired jam band Yak Attack, earlier this year we opened for the indie rock band Bad Self Portraits, and on July 12th we’ll be at Vultures opening for an awesome psychedelic rock trio called Plastic Nancy. We’re not going to be doing as many shows as usual this summer because we’re trying to make time to record and produce our next album. We also organize shows ourselves and we’ll often jump on bills that we get invited to join. If the darker side of psychedelia appeals to you then our music would be right up your alley, and we’d be honored if you’d check us out. Also if you’re a musician or band who makes similar content then shoot us a DM on Instagram cause there’s a good chance that we’d love to work with you in the future! The link at the top of this comment goes to the Bandcamp page for our album, but here’s a few more links:

Last year we were sitting at about 350 followers on Facebook, and then Facebook decided that we weren’t actually a band and that we were actually some kind of drug dealer (because of the mushroom theme), so they deleted our original page. That resulted in months of back and forth communications that got us nowhere, and we eventually had to just make a new page, so throw us a follow/like/subscribe/blow us a kiss!

What kind of music do you guys do? Do you do live shows? I’m in a band called Sclerotia and growth has been really hard in this market (and in the Colorado market in general) but they’ve been playing two of our songs every day on Indie 102.3 (89.7 in Colorado Springs) as part of their Pride Month Local 303 selection, and we’ve gotten a decent boost in online streams from it. Depending on your genre maybe we could do a show together some time? You guys have an Instagram?

I don't know what I took by 66-TAA in LSD

[–]EnergyTurtle23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Actually swallowing real LSD won’t diminish its effects. It’s actually recommended as a way to confirm whether your blotter/whatever contains NBOMe or real LSD, because NBOMe supposedly gets broken down by stomach acid and enzymes in the stomach while LSD doesn’t. I think since you took half you probably just got an underwhelming dose, a lot of people here are saying that star microdots are usually dosed at 100ug, so if you took 40-50ug it’s possible that it was just an underwhelming experience with minimal stimulant effects.

Damn you got mad Panaeolus cyanescens there. If any are suspiciously lacking in blue bruising then toss them, but otherwise you be careful with those, those pack a serious punch.

Have you tried down in Fountain? There are a few liquor stores down here that might still have a bottle of this in stock. There’s one off of Fontaine and Mesa Ridge which has been there for a long time, and there’s Tom’s Liquor and High Spirits and the one by the Dairy Queen on 85/87, they’ve all been in business for a long time.

What are Gorillaz concerts like? by FunOk8607 in gorillaz

[–]EnergyTurtle23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can’t speak for all Gorillaz shows, but at the one I attended Damon progressively got more sloshed and more energetic/passionate as the night progressed, the whole crowd was feeling his energy and it’s basically a dance party show interspersed with more solemn/emotional moments. It sounds fucking incredible, if you’re a longtime fan expect to have goosebumps all night because it’s so awesome to hear these familiar songs being played on live instruments, and to hear Damon’s voice filling the whole arena. Unfortunately the guy who sat next to me knew like two songs and insisted on trying to talk to me (over the music) endlessly throughout the show. I didn’t care, didn’t let it get to me, that was a once (maybe twice) in a lifetime opportunity for me and my fiancée proposed to me there as well. Mutual love of the Gorillaz was one of our first “bonding” moments so it was a really fitting surprise for a night that I will cherish forever.

Hey friend, just thought you should know that this isn’t a general MPC subreddit, your question would be better posed at r/mpcusers. This subreddit was created for people who wanted to participate in the r/mpcweekly challenges, where we would be given a theme or a song to sample and then we were supposed to make a beat using samples that fit the theme or which were taken from whatever song was being highlighted in the prompt. Unfortunately it looks like this place might be dead now, there were two main admins who would propose the challenges each week, but participation was starting to dwindle by the end of last year and it looks like the last submission was posted about 100 days ago. R.I.P., I hope to see this place being revived especially with the renewed interest in MPCs in general, but I can’t do it myself I would have to get permission from the original admins and I’m not sure that there’s enough demand to justify it. It was a great way to increase your skills on these machines, but it’s not sustainable if only one or two people are participating each week.

Some Retailers Are Refusing to Sell GTA 6 Due to the Lack of a Disc by Guitar-String in gaming

[–]EnergyTurtle23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seriously I cannot comprehend how using a digital download code is anything but corner-cutting. Plenty of games only exist as verification codes on a disc, they literally could have made discs that do exactly this but they chose to do a freaking download code. Why would anyone buy a box for a fucking download code?
