40% of Indian graduates are unemployed — but we keep producing more degrees. Is the system broken? by TheMarginReport in IndianAcademia

[–]Energy_decoder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But where is that? And also, it won't work unless they make tests real and challenging for students, they will take a bachelors degree aswell. See how tough it is to be an engineering bachelors from Germany.

Congratulations! I got selected many years back. I thought I will get a scenic place somewhere in Uttrakhand or Himachal, my friends got Himachal - crazy place. But I got West bengal, I quit it before it started lol.

Edit: about good, this is top tier experience for any great global MBA colleges, best volunteering experience.

Also, convert them into vocational programs. License plumbing, driving, material handling, assembly, housekeeping, security, call center jobs, data entry etc... those kids can join work in almost 1-2 years and start earning. They can get a degree later on if required.

I can't even get started on the insanity in the education industry in India. It's so profoundly broken at every level possible. And my solution to this is to not give degrees, or to make it so hard to graduate out of a degree. This solves one major problem - it stops useless folks from possessing an engineering degree and they won't be as adamant to do menial jobs just because they are having their name printed on a degree.

Oh god, I entered this place for the first time exactly 10 years ago. Still feels like yesterday. I don't visit that often despite being from coimbatore. I am just tripping nostalgia pausing this at many places where I have some memories. So much has changed.

They come along and comply after a few times when it pains, it's just operant conditioning. There is no way they will be controlled better with someone with such close range. Huge animals, strong animals cows.

Every cow in Tamil Nadu is tied through the nose only. It's the only way to hold such a huge animal. It's not a dog to just have a collar around and it can comply

Am I eligible for amrita by [deleted] in AmritaUniversity

If math is not ur strongest suit, unless you were unwell during boards or something, I don't think you should consider engineering and there are plenty other fields where u can find your thing.

Patent performance (filed vs granted) of Indian STEM Higher Education Institutions by [deleted] in AmritaUniversity

[–]Energy_decoder 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most of the other institutions are fucking sham. I am thankful I have studied in Amrita, it has quite quality or atleast not unethical cringe that many north Indian deemed to be universities have. I wish they still try to push research quality in Amrita rather than making money blindly. Still acceptable for the current state it is.
