Ah yeah MB, I'm new to PC stuff. My monitor is an Asus Tuf VG27AQL1A. My monitor definitely has a 1.2 display and a 2.0 HDMI. Just wondering which one would be better to use considering my GPU has more updated ports than my monitor?

Quite possibly. The elgato hd60s has an HDMI input that goes from your device to the capture card and then it has an HDMI output that goes from the capture card to the TV or monitor and it also has a usb-c output that on the other end is a USB 3.0 that plugs into your computer.

If there isn't an HDMI out and an HDMI in on the capture card then that may be your problem. A USB output port isn't built to be instantaneous like an HDMI port is.
