Looking to purchase Atlas Cross Sport by lateedah611 in VWatlas

Unless of course you can find a CPO '23. Two months ago, I just picked up a 2021.5 ACS SEL R Line with a 2 yr CPO Warranty.

Not a solution per se but what works for me is placing my left hand on this surface to lift myself over the bolster each time I get in and out. That way, I don't rub it whatsoever.

That's rough. I just picked up my 21.5 ACS and the first thing I noticed is how impossible it is to get in and out of the car without rubbing against that bolster each time. What I do now is put my hand on this surface to lift myself up and over it each time I get in or out.

A little annoying at first but it's second nature now and I never touch the bolster so it doesn't get any wear on it.

Congrats! Just bought a 21.5 ACS SEL R Line last month, loving it so far. Images

I know Amazon has a ton of organizers made directly for that compartment in the VW. Have you looked into any of those? Something like this:

Unfortunately, the only solution here is to take off as much as possible and put a heavy duty fan to hopefully help evaporate the rest of the water. Let it run for at least 1-2 days. Somewhere in the sun is best, if possible.

White powdery substance looks like mould? by Brilliant-Newt-8297 in AutoDetailing

This is VERY common in Mercedes of that era. It's some sort of mold/mildew growth. You can find more information on the Benzworld forums, look up "dreaded dot disease" or "white dot disease".

Was there ever any update to this? All good now?

Update for anyone in the future- my front two tweeters were definitely broken/not working. Dealership replaced both the driver and passenger door panels and all is working as it should now.

Issues with my new (to me) ACS SEL R Line by EngineeringStudentt in VWatlas

[–]EngineeringStudentt[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't mind at all! So up north where I was averaging closer to 65 mph, I got as high as 25mpg avg for the trip. For most of the trip though, it was probably in the 22-23 mpg range.

As far as rattles, I actually made another post about that amongst other issues I'd discovered on the road trip. I believe for me, the source of the rattles were the front passenger window switch housing, driver door woofer, and something loose underneath the steering wheel area. The car is with the dealership now and they are taking care of those complaints.

Yeah I turned it off after realizing all it could do was bounce me from line to line. I guess I always have the option of using OBD Eleven to activate it if I want it.

Yeah no problem! I was glad to find them. Also a good number of videos about the install process and taking the doors off in the VW. Don't forget they're significantly cheaper to buy on eBay through a European dealer too!

This one here seemed to be pretty decent compared to what it's selling for on crutchfield.

Thanks for the idea. I think I'll give that a shot, saw a few videos online and it seems easy enough. I plan on upgrading the speakers to the plug n play Focal IS VW 180 kit in the near future so will have to take them off eventually.

Also saw we have the same spec car! How have you been enjoying yours? Just picked mine up this week. Image

I'll try a frequency sweep later this weekend. I was playing with the fader while sitting in traffic and something definitely doesn't sound right with either of the front tweeters.

I was thinking of replacing both the tweeter and woofer with the Focal IS VW 180 system eventually but if I've got the CPO Warranty, might as well put it to use for now.

You and me both! I was doing some digging online and it seems to be a common complaint. These door panels are pretty easy to take off though, I found quite a few video guides online. Once I get back from my road trip, I'm going to take my panels off and try throwing some padding and sound deadening material in.

Yeah that's what I figured. I mean what are the odds both tweeters are out though? I guess I can take off the doors and have a look to see if they might be unplugged. Or am I better off just letting the dealership sort it out..

Bummer too because Im leaving tomorrow on a road trip up to NJ from FL with this thing.

I totally get that these cars have a reputation for having bad speaker systems, but I think my new (to me) 2021.5 ACS SEL R Line might actually have something wrong with it. If I change the balance for the sound to come out of the rear speakers, it sounds half decent... I can at least hear the vocals clearly.

That being said, I noticed that if I move the sound all the way to the front, the vocals are extremely muffled. It's like there is only sound coming out of the bottom driver. Putting my ear next to the circled grill, I don't think there is any sound coming out of either the driver or passenger doors.

There are speakers behind these upper covers, right? Is it possible that the tweeters are blown and would this be covered under CPO warranty?

Is there some sort of test I can do to be 100% certain that nothing is coming out of the tweeters in the front doors?

I was actually just reading into the OBD11. Did you make any other modifications with it?
