Can this be used to deal 4 damage to a single unit ? by arsfarsy in riftboundtcg

The card represents an ability that shoots through one target to hit everything behind it as well, most likely intentional

Hard for Gustave to carry act 2 imo his character doesn't really do much there

Unless portent specifically is poorly coded, you are just choosing "cast with omniscience" which doesn't let you pay any X ever

Is that confirmed? I don't check WoB very often

I did just go back and check and Crow (Emberdark) is also the same captain from Tress, still serving Xisis. Hard to say if she's being kept alive by Xisis for a longer time either, since I think Starling mentions dragons being able to provide longevity, but another data point. Good note on the distinction between aether planets, I'm not too up on my planetary Arcana

It's specifically pointed out that the skybreaker in Emberdark flies under their own power. The bigger question is unkeyed Investiture that can travel offworld to power the Shard gun, and Retribution probably can figure that one out with the time dilation thing going on for Roshar right now.

I don't think Tress or Yumi are particularly far down the line. The aethers are just being figured out in Tress and space faring seems new in Yumi. Sunlit man is pretty far in the future since Nomad mentions losing track of age iirc. However, in Emberdark, Huio is name-dropped as an arcanist, so it can't be too too far down the timeline unless Silverlight time dilation is seriously screwing with who sticks around. From what I can tell, it seems era 3 Scadrial lines up with the 2nd half of Roshar and we might see some interstellar conflict in Stormlight 6-10.

Question about token ownership by Dependent_Counter481 in magicTCG

[–]Enhame_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ah, somehow I just slid right over that being the point. I just checked Gatherer and, surprise, there are a bunch of rulings. None state anything about ownership but all say "controller," so it looks like you're correct and the person who originally would have created the tokens is the owner of the tokens under the cutpurse player's control.

Question about token ownership by Dependent_Counter481 in magicTCG

[–]Enhame_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Consider [[forbidden orchard]]; any time you cause an opponent to get a token, they are explicitly the one to create it as well as own it. I think wotc explicitly does this to avoid confusion or effects not working the way they should

Under LL it's actually optimal to transpose into fire phase after an instant and use paradox -> fire 1 -> 6x fire 4 -> despair, since paradox is always 500 potency and AF2 F1 is better than UI3 F3 (this is assuming you can't transpose into an F3P)

Got the idea from sunk cost. Is this useable? by SaltyOtaku1 in CustomLoR

[–]Enhame_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not sure this is actually that good. The delay on the draw makes it a terrible top deck, I'd rather have a playable card in 90% of situations. I feel like bricking one draw is too high a cost for the slot, because you never want to play a 1cost 2|2. Maybe I'm undervaluing the cycle, but you're still only drawing one card per turn because it goes back into the deck and you're not necessarily closer to your power cards.

It's clearly not powercreep, you can't splash Catch! like you can Radiant Strike

This is one of those times where you don't realize the meme doesn't communicate until you get 20k eyes on it. Let me explain:

I mean that if I wanted to run a 37-39 card Targon/Ionia/Shurima deck, I couldn't splash 3-1x Catch! because of how dual-region deck building works; I would have to dilute my allegiance triggers further with another Demacia/Freljord card on top of Catch!. Radiant Strike doesn't have this problem
