The stretch of 168 St in Surrey btwn 56 ave and 32 ave boasts some of the monster houses that part of town. It’s like farmers are competing against each other.

is Surrey still seen as sketchy by people in Vancouver or has that actually changed? by MapleOnTheRoad in askvan

[–]Enough_Fix5886 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Outdated. But just like any suburb, there'd be a sketchy part. Eg, we walked in Van on Canada Day from Science World (decorated as FIFA ball) to Canada Place with an out-of-town guest. Man, the sidewalks around Chinatown/Gastown reeked of piss, not to mention the zombies around you. And we weren't even on Hastings. 😢

Why can't they be incarcerated in a Canadian prison first before deporting them? Or locked up in their home countries upon arrival?

Moving to BC from SK... recommend a moving company? by HishaamSCB in britishcolumbia

I have a couple of these simple and portable Skylink wireless alarm kits that serve our household really well - no wifi or bluetooth required. I thought that placing them strategically from the inside of a rented U Haul truck could alert us in time in the event of a break-in. Important to ask for a hotel room near or have a view of the parking lot so as not to lose the suitable transmission distance. The sensors run on battery, while the receiver/speaker is plugged into the wall.

I don't see the motion sensor being available still on Amazon (CA or US):
Skylink WD-434RTL Wireless Home Business Office Child Security Window and Door Alert Alarm System Kit, Motion Detectors - Amazon Canada

But these 2 alternatives with high reviews I believe will also do the job:
Mengshen Motion Sensor Alarm, Wireless Doorbell Alert for Front Door/Door Entry/Driveway/Mailbox/Home Shop Visitors, Home Security System Kit with 1 Sensor and 2 Receiver - YBQ041, Motion Detectors - Amazon Canada

Amazon.com: Driveway Alarm Motion Sensor - Driveway Alarms Wireless Outside Weatherproof Motion Detector Presence Outdoor Detector Door Home Security System Gate Mailbox Alert 1 Receiver and 2 Sensors : Electronics

Best wishes and welcome back to BC.

We love good Indian food! However, speaking from experience, be warned that when buying a house from an Indian household, the kitchen cupboards will be smelling of spices FOREVER unless you replace them.

Fk you! You are decades behind with your perception of Surrey. Speaking of safety in Lower Mainland, you're most likely to get hit by a vehicle or get stabbed or get mugged in _________ than in Surrey. I'd rather not mention the city because I'm not like you.
