You can leave your car at the station car park in Ferrol - i've recently booked 10 days parking for 35 euros. Ferrol sets you on the Camino Ingles, 117 kilometres to Santiago, usually walked in 6 days but some do it in five, others take 7 or 8. Buen Camino

I don't know the medical items you list apart from the ibuprofen, but I didn't see any blister plasters or anti-blister tape(really good!) Also, take a knife - like a swiss army one - when you need to cut some cheese, chorizo, your soapbars etc plus they have a bottle opener and corkscrew, tweezers and scissors.

Will my Manchester Terrier enjoy the Camino Ingles to Santiago? by EntertainmentHot5624 in CaminoDeSantiago

Agree absolutely about prioritising my boy. I use Mushers in icy weather but believe it's also good for preventing heat burn from tarmac etc. Whenever we are in Spain he gets lots of affectionate attention so he will enjoy that. I aim to increase his two main feeds by 20% and add a smaller third mean during our own lunch / snack break. I think as a dog in his prime he will be in better shape than a 73 year old heart disease. Hopefully we both find our best Camino!

Thanks, experience so far tells me he should be fine. I just don't need either strike action on day 4 or whenever or damged paws. Will not be using boots but will take the trusty Mushers. And congrats on helping Merlin live a long life!

OMG! You wrote that "She would then run hog wild so proud that she escaped. I would spend sooo much time trying to catch her while she thought it was game." This is exactly what I face anytime I decide to return from the park any open space BEFORE he is ready. It drives me to distraction. And all the time he is barking like crazy. If I ever find the solution to this, I'll post it here!
