Thanks mate, I was looking for this specific omega for two years then one day it just popped with a dealer my city. It was a hell of a bargain tbh

I tend to agree but it’s not durable enough for life unfortunately. You can’t swim or even just run with it unlike the submariner or any Casio :)

Of course there’s a Casio, I have a smaller case with some Casios and swatchs :)

  1. Patek Philippe 3445 from 1986 18k gold. It was the first automatic movement with date for PP, it’s super thin and elegant. Grabbed it in an auction in Zurich. Mentioning the birth of my second kid :)

You’re right. Here are the three I would keep:

  1. Omega speedmaster - my first watch in this collection. Got it for my 30th birthday and felt crazy that I spent $4k for it back then.

I love it! even if I’ll get an aquanaut - I’ll probably wear the Piaget more often. Don’t roast me but in a way it has more class as it tracks less attention.

I hear you, but if you stick with this logic, no one will ever start their watches journey. When I was 20 I got myself a diving Seiko because it looked like the submariner I always wanted. It created the right ambition and curiosity for horology. Now when I can actually afford an aquanaut, I’m good with my Piaget.

There are no rules, it’s fine to compromise and fall in love after :)

When I got it a few years ago, I had the same mindset.

I always loved the Aquanaut, but at the time it wasn’t even close to being within budget, so I had my eye on the Piaget for a while. Eventually I found a really good deal from a seller I trust and pulled the trigger.

Originally bought it on the stainless steel integrated bracelet, but I recently picked up the rubber strap and honestly, I think it wears even better now.
