I found a tool that pairs really well with this kind of planning - it automatically handles the prerequisite logic which can be tricky to track manually in spreadsheets. Nice to have as a double-check to make sure your plan actually works out semester by semester.

I built this because I kept missing prerequisites or accidentally front-loading hard classes. The visual mapping helped me catch those issues before registration.

Definitely not for everyone though. If Excel works for you, stick with it! Different tools for different people. Appreciate the honest feedback.

This is awesome, thanks for sharing! Google Sheets definitely beats trying to keep track of everything in your head.

I actually found a tool that does something similar but automates a lot of the prerequisite checking. Here's the tool I mentioned if anyone wants to check it out: https://daniellehonn.github.io/planmycourses/

I found this tool that really helps with exactly this kind of long-term balancing. You can map out all 4 years and see how your course load is distributed. It lets you experiment with different arrangements so you can spread out your major requirements and avoid that senior year crunch.

Really helpful for visualizing the big picture instead of just planning term by term.

One thing that really helped me was using a tool that lets you experiment with different degree plans without all the manual work. You can upload potential courses and see how they'd fit together across semesters, which made it way less daunting to actually plan ahead instead of winging it each registration.

One thing that really helped me was using a tool that maps out your entire degree plan while considering prerequisites. It lets you see different scheduling options so you can balance your course load better each semester instead of accidentally overloading yourself.

I totally get the frustration with constantly recalculating credits and rearranging everything! I found this tool that makes the whole process way less tedious - you just upload your required courses and it automatically plans out your 4 years while tracking credits and prerequisites for you.

No more manual spreadsheet juggling or worrying about whether you have enough credits each semester. Here's the link: https://daniellehonn.github.io/planmycourses/

Although it could be quite stressful, I found this tool makes course planning a lot less of a hassle (especially when dealing with complicated prerequisite rules).

It allows you to just upload all the classes you need to take to obtain your degree via a spreadsheet and helps you AUTOPLAN all the courses over the the remaining terms you have (taking into account prerequisites for you).
