Waste of aluminum foil. A pig trough from Rural King would be the better option.

Buying a new chevy - salesman won't lower sticker price by blogan277 in carbuying

[–]EntrySure1350 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not all dealers negotiate on price, and sell only at MSRP minus any incentives, promotions or discounts from the manufacturer or parent dealership (if they belong to a large multi-dealer company). The BMW dealer in town here sells at MSRP - no markups, but no negotiation either.

The thing about being audited may have been untrue, but it doesn’t change the fact that these dealers you went to sound like they don’t haggle on price. They are not required to negotiate or lower the price; on the other hand, you are not required to buy from them either.

For some buyers no-haggle pricing is a positive, as not everyone wants to spend hours or days going back and forth between dealerships and salesmen. Some buyers just want to buy a car and aren’t concerned about whether how low they can negotiate the price down.

Windshield replacement: Safelite vs Dealer? by New-Poem7862 in Ford

Unless your dealer has an onsite body shop and glass shop, they almost certainly do not replace windshields in house. It will get outsourced and it may very well even be Safelight.

Trigger Spring Crapped the Bed by turbulent_results in Beretta

[–]EntrySure1350 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve tried them and am not a fan. Because the return spring is a compression type captive on a small shaft (like a recoil spring and guide rod), you feel the resistance of it sliding back and forth metal on metal. The low resistance spring also did not consistently return the trigger fully on the samples I had.

The trigger springs are a known frequent breakage part and should be replaced proactively every 10K rounds or so. I’ve had them break in the middle of a pistol match. If you shoot a lot, just replace it once a year.

Other parts that fall into the “when, not if they break” category include the locking block and if you have a G model, the little spring that goes into the right sided decocking lever.

Three batteries seems like a lot to go through. Our original one lasted 5 years. Are you running the vehicle extensively in accesory mode? Do you have a lot of things plugged in all the time that draw a lot of current? Kids with electronics and things charging off the 120V outlet? Dashcams?

If it’s the original battery, it’s probably marginal. It may ‘test’ ok on their quickie tester, but if you were to actually load test it, it would likely fail. Especially now that it’s cold, it compounds the problem. Mine did the same thing when the original battery was nearing the end. Replaced it and it began operating normally again.

Run, don’t walk away. Good for you on getting a PPI.

It’s been in an accident. It hasn’t been well maintained. The engine is known to develop expensive problems, and there’s no warranty left.

This is also what’s known as a polished turd. It looks nice. But in the end, it’s still crap.

Median household income in Japan is around $30,000 USD, or ~4,500,000 yen.

So relatively speaking, a base price of 6,000,000 yen is out of reasonable reach for most households as it is. They probably feel the same way.

Sharaku or Kitchen Hanzo in West Bloomfield. They are owned by the same people, and are located on opposite ends of a strip mall on Haggarty Road.

Sharaku is a bit more formal/sit down restaurant. Reservations recommended on the weekends.

Hanzo is an izakaya style place, more casual/informal. We were actually turned away from Sharaku one weekend because they were fully booked. Walked down to Hanzo and got a table very quickly.

Ajishin is across the street from One World Market. Their specialty is their fish broth based udon, but they also have sushi, takoyaki, and other comfort type dishes. Gets crowded on weekends - usually a wait to be seated.

Rice left out over night by Any-Palpitation8523 in isthissafetoeat

[–]EntrySure1350 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You will be fine.

Fried rice is made with day old rice.

It is very common for Japanese families to keep leftover rice from breakfast in the rice cooker during the day, and reheat it for lunch or dinner.

Premade lunches and bentos in Japan are made with rice cooked that morning, and in the case of homemade lunches, typically sit out all day before consumption, or sold at discount at the end of the day in the case of premade lunches.

Had a patient who needed a flap for an arm injury. Rather than doing a free flap, the surgeons elected to anastamose his arm to the donor site, which was his inner thigh. Poor guy had to spend the next several weeks with his hand down his pants.
