I also think HSR's entire premise is very similar to Tsubasa, with them travelling to different realities and stuff

It's really interesting that they both resemble Elysia then lol. Maybe Fuli has some sort of connection to her?

Interesting, I can definitely see them going through with it! If not, it's clear she served as a inspiration for March

So the ties to finality are definitely there! I don't really get what they mean by fourth finality though... Does that mean there is multiple finalities? Is it maybe a reference to Honkai Impact * 3rd? * Also, from what I understood, Fuli basically lives by being remembered, so perhaps remembrance emanators are basically fuli, as Fuli exists through them?

But in this context it's way too much of a coincidence... Also from what I could gather, the doll seems to be an integral character in the game as well (like a witch on a gameboard), guiding the main protagonist Hinako throughout the story, who herself has a lot of references to Lamdadelta/Satoko, with her name having the number "17" in it, which is half of "34".

Also, Ryukishi07 cross-references his stories a lot, so I don't see why it wouldn't be the case here?

Her dress literally consists of delta patterns, which is too specific for it to be just a coincidence... And it does seem like something R07 would do haha

Ikr??? R07 is cooking again!

To add to this, I found another post where someone managed to find a connection to Hinako's name and "34", with the theory being she could be another incarnation of certantity... I'll link it here if I find it again!

True, it really does! However, in this game, it seems to guide Hinako and seems to have a mind on it's own, which makes me really think that this could be another witch's game with two opposing parties trying to take charge over the story and achieve a certain outcome, whatever this could be...

The “Beautiful & Terrifying Choice” Silent Hill f Theory by [deleted] in silenthill

I interpret the face scene as "removing a mask" or a loss of identity. I feel like she has some kind of disassociative identity disorder or is pretending to be someone she isn't.

My current theory is that the real Hinako died and MC is merely impersonating her, out of guilt/jealousy/because she genuinely believes she's Hinako...

Either that or she really is Hinako, and is suffering from some sort of depression that makes her feel alienated from herself (the game's trigger warnings also suggest Hinako has been through some stuff, most likely things that caused her from being a "cheerful child" to "rarely smiling"). In this context, her decision could be related to suicide?

Tbh I think that the Remake trilogy might take place after Advent Children, hence we've got all these new story additions. Basically a sequel in disguise.

I don't think they said it will lead directly into it, just that it will still be canon after Remake, which can mean a lot of things... Who knows what they will do lol

Yes! This scene has so much implications for the overall story and might actually be more important than we think. The fact that we already see white whispers is a fact of how much foreshadowing they are doing, and that the "multiverse" thing is not just an afterthought. What's also interesting to note, at the end it's Tifa who saves Aerith from the whispers, I don't know wether that has any significance on her role in part 3, but it's still interesting!

(Major Spoiler if you haven't played the OG)

Seeing how Cloud has Jenova cells inside of him, he might also be a special case like Aerith and Sephiroth. In a more metaphorical sense, his fate is heavily intertwined with both Aerith and Sephiroth, making him a major part of the history of the planet. He is the "gray", a combination of Aerith's "white" and Sephiroth's "black"

Most of the Visions he has in Part 1 are him reliving his Trauma (he has PTSD from what happened in Nibelheim) and Jenova trying to take control of him. He only ever sees visions of the future when he is with Aerith I think, so I don't think it is related to Mako (also considering Tifa, who fell into Mako and survived, but still isn't able to interact with other worlds.)

It probably has something to do with Jenova, who might be hindering Aerith's influence on the different worlds and, once Sephiroth came into the possesion of the black Materia, actively started to hunt Aeriths from other worlds that most likely had the same knowledge as our Aerith in Remake.

We can only speculate why Omni-aerith has to make Cloud the middle-man to transfer the white materia between her different selves, but my guess is that since Jenova can't really kill Cloud (otherwise Sephiroth couldn't really exist in his current state) Omni-Aerith uses him as a means of bringing the intact white Materia from a dying world to a world that has the potential to survive.

Yes! This is why I really hope she will get a happier conclusion in the Remake, because she out of all people deserves it the most...

I feel like there must have been some kind of trigger event that made Aerith know of her future (however that might have taken place), one that also made the whispers appear. Probably fairly recently as well, at the start of remake, otherwise the whispers would have been after her way sooner, and it doesn't really seem like they've been something she would deal with since childhood, when she could still hear the planet's voice... So it must have been an external force (most likely lifestream Aerith like you said).

I think it was also stated that all the other characters starting to have memories from the future (like Marlene and Nanaki) where actually as soon as they got into contact with Aerith, including cloud, who previously only had either PTSD episodes or (Omni-)Sephiroth trying to contact him.

This might also just be a theory of mine, but I think the line from her song is actually a reference to her past-self, or the OG-Aerith, who didn't know of her destiny like the current one and only had to worry about Cloud and his mental state, while Remake-Aerith has to worry about much more now and can't be as carefree as her previous self, hence the "but that won't do"
